It's interesting, this meme phenomena.
I know very little about Gondola other than it originates from Spurdo. I don't really know if it represents any particular idea or joke or anything. All I know is that watching these webms bring me joy, not only for their content, but for the fact that they are a product of inspiration and in so also inspire others to create, however crude or complex.
That is one of the greatest gifts the internet can give.

If you want some more background info, it was created by the Fins. The Gondola started as a joke of a poorly drawn Spurdo, but the environment it was in gave an overwhelming comfy feeling as opposed to a joke. Apparently, someone added music and it took its place as the comfiest memes. One of the oldest Gondolas ever made was the webm with 5 or so Gondolas crouching and standing on various pillars above the clouds. Originally they were animated with that crouching/rising animation, but this eventually was weaned out. Anything you may read on Gondola "lore" is bullshit and ruins the meme. The Gondola is an artistic representation of a particular feeling from the creator.

I use TVPaint for everything you see in the webm, I use a brush that comes with TVPaint that has a pencil-like texture which you can see and basically that's that, simple color palette with each surface having a simple texture, usually a darker or a lighter shade of the same in a repeating texture-like manner

That's all there is to it :)

You described something that fits me like nothing else; I couln't put my finger on for a long time. I know I will dwell on your post for another while. Thank you very much.

I don't think I'm "special", or better than others, but very different. My experience of many things like "emotions" as a whole differs a lot from what I think the majority feels. Emotions never really hit me, a good grade, surprising luck or sudden bad news often leave me seemingly unmoved, neither happy nor sad. I need time to adjust to these events and it seems I only ever feel an echo of the "supposed" emotion.

Then however, sometimes, without any warning a wave of melancholia hits me. When I'm out with friends in a disco, all of a sudden everything seems surreal, I feel detached from the joy I felt minutes before, and I just want to leave and to lie in my bed, thinking about nothing. Every action feels deeply pointless, random at best if not purposefully destructive.
