Motorcycle was in the 1st lane, car was in the 2nd when they entered the roundabout. Car changed to 1st lane in order to take the 1st exit when the motorcycle wanted to go straight.

Generally, in Britian at a double lane roundabout it goes like this
>Left lane turns left or goes straight ahead
>Right lane goes straight ahead or around
the 2nd lane at that turn off is for cars that are going around.
The Biker assumes that the car to his right will be going forward so he's clear to turn into the right lane so he can go fast, but the car instead of going forward like it should turns left into him.
I've almost had collisions several times in the UK by people who turn from the wrong lane.

Actually, now that I pay more attention to it, the car went from the 2nd lane when entering the roundabout to the 1st lane inside the roundabout back to the 2nd lane after exiting the roundabout. Fucking crazy.
Car is at fault, obviously. You can see no road markings on the ground forcing the motorcycle to take the exit, so the 1st lane has priority over the other ones in order to avoid things like in that webm form happening.

Yeah, that's the driving etiquette here, too, for simple roundabouts where the road markings don't force you to take an exit, but the law states that the 1st lane of the roundabout always has the right of way over the others if the road markings don't force you to leave the roundabout. So the difference between the driving etiquette and the law could get you into an accident if you decide to drive on the 1st lane when you want to take the 5th exit.
It's the same in France, UK and the USA. I don't know about other countries.

You do see how the motorcycle starts in the 1st lane and the car is on the 2nd lane, right? When the car enters the roundabout, it invades the motorcycle's space because it wants to take the exit, but in this situation, the motorcycle has the right of way since it's on the left of the car and on the outer edge of the roundabout. In roundabouts like that, you have to be on the 1st lane, the outer lane, in order to exit it since then you'll have priority over the other drivers, but the motorcycle was there and the motorcycle did not want to take the exit, it wanted to go straight. The car, who wanted to go left, turned into the motorcycle, who wanted to go straight and who had the right of way.

The bike is going straight. It's not merging into anything. Watch the webm just before the 5 second mark, which is also just before it gets hit, and you'll see that the bike is pointing towards the outer lane of the roundabout, not the inner one. The bike is not moving from its lane, nor does it intend to do it since it wants to go straight.
It is 100% the car's fault in front of the law. More so since it tried to fled the scene.

In NJ, it's the student. Cop catches you speeding - student gets the ticket. Student Driver cars have to be clearly marked and the markings have to be visible on all sides so cops tend to be lenient with student drivers, assuming the instructor is scolding them accordingly. It's only really ever if the student crashes that they'd be held legally responsible for their mistake. Insurance wise, the instructors should be required to provide insurance for the vehicles used to teach student drivers, but I don't know if that is in fact required by law here.

Tfw used to work/live in Pensacola, shit like this happened all the damn time. Glad I moved to New Orleans though, traffic/accidents are not as bad usually. Makes being a cop a hell of a lot easier.
