Without the context, it'll never be as funny. Shooting Starts was on the rise in the mid 90's and it was very much part of the slapstick and surreal humour, which had never really been applied on a panel quiz show. If you weren't a fan of it at the time, the chances are you wont like it now. I saw a documentary on this awhile ago on youtube, no idea where sauce is on this now though.

Its basically a talk show where the guests have had various medical issues that have adversely affected their lives. The gentlemen with the voice of an angel had a syndrome that made his voice extremely high, and during the show, the guest at the end notified the crew that he also experienced a similar issue with his voice, although instead of high pitched, it was extremely low.

In this documentary, there was an interview with the host, who said he was fired almost immediately after the show. However, he felt he had been ambushed by the producers of the show, who he was having some major disagreements with at the time.
