I'm form Spain and it's the same here as well as in France. The point is overtaking, and then leaving the roundabout. It just werks, except when it doesn't, like in that webm. Those kind of roundabouts suck, though. The ones that have road markings that make the outer lane exit the roundabout are the best. It doesn't leave room to confusion and it's very easy to point out who's to blame in the case of an accident.

I do agree that it works and the main idea of a roundabout is to accelerate traffic and create more flow. It is stupid in my opinion to ride in the most outward lane and then exit at the 3rd exit. Not all roundabouts are as simple as in that webm. Some of them have 3 or even 4 lanes.

In the UK driving handbook, it gives a picture example of two lane round about.
People in the left lane either turn left or go across, people on the right either go right or around.
Generally anyone on a round about on the left not instantly turning left is going to take the next left, so cars on the right will be able to take that left with them.
This is not always true, and on the roundabout near where I live, never true.
Its made me a lot more cautious on roundabouts.

The problem is that it's a blind corner and the truck wants to turn right. In America, if you stop before the line you can then inch forward in order to see around obstacles to judge whether a right turn on a red light is safe to make, yielding to perpendicular traffic. The problem in this case is that the obstacle is a 80 feet of buildings instead of a small shrub, which is why the line was painted so far back in the first place (thus allowing perpendicular left-turn makers room to make a safe turn).

The truck driver's attention is entirely focused on perpendicular traffic at this bizarre, dangerous corner and doesn't see the light turn green for a few moments.

tl;dr Driver probably never been to that intersection before, applied existing driving rules and etiquette, and made a usual turn on an unusual corner. The whole thing could be solved with a "NO RIGHT TURN ON RED" sign.

The truck's blinker was on the entire time. The motorcyclist should have just stayed behind the truck and moved into the space it was vacating to exit the circle, rather than ignoring everyone and weaving around like a moron

I use my phone as a dash cam, but I don't recommend doing it because phones' cameras have a shitty fields of view.

Most of the dashcams have a looping option where they keep recording and if they run out of space, they delete the old videos. They also have a panic/accident button that, when pressed, permanently saves a snippet of the video and prevents it from getting deleted. There are also dashcams that keep recording and don't save anything unless you press the accident button. Read stuff about them, look them up on amazon, ebay or whatever and check youtube for footage from each dashcam so you can see its image quality.
