I went to a folk festival, the biggest in Australia. This festival has a fire event at the end of it, to mark the 6th day, and the fire event has a peoples orchestra.

One year, the orchestra played Halleluja. The conductor was in front of the stage, some 10 meters away, elevated on a big podium where everyone could see. The stage was set in a big grassy hill, where up to 30 thousand people could sit on the grass and watch.

The song was playing and it was sweet, but when it reached the chorus of "Hallejula", the conductor turned around.

Immediately, everyone joined in. Some thirty thousand.

i know the feeling. it might be way late and you might not see this but i know the feel. my grandfather was the only real man in my life. my dad wasent to to abusive or anything, but he was always drunk or high on something. He was just kinda not there for me at all. hes better now but i dont think ill ever truly consider him my dad. hes just like any other person. my grandfather on the other hand he taught me how to shoot a gun, hunt, fish, grow food, about history and much more. now his back is going and i heard he has lung cancer i dont know if its true and god i hope its not. every time i see him he always talks about im the only real grandson he has, so he dosent really consider the other 3 to be that. he always follows that up with "soon enough all the things i have are gonna be yours son".
