I agree. And I admit that I came here from Reddit and even browsed 9fag because of friends for a while. The problem was the whole "le rage comics haha my gf sex gentlesir sex" culture on those websites nauseated me so I ended up coming here. I'm still overly sensitive to the language style of those users, it is subtle but detectable and it usually sets me the fuck off.

But I've always had an appreciation for that sort of backward vintage internet / computer culture. It's why I still used XP up until a year ago, and love these old "epik fail lulz" gifs / screencaps. Some of them just seem quaint and boring, but the internet opened my eyes when I was very sheltered so I have feels associated with these gifs. It's kinda hard to explain.
