im not an expert on rotaries and porting but piston engines do something similar to this when they have racing cams, this engine doesn't actually have camshafts but intake and exhaust ports, when these ports are enlarged it acts like a piston engine with a hot cam.

im 99% sure it has a peripheral port

It ran at 100% fuel input all the time which meant every cylinder was fueled even if it wasn't burnt. The oiling system was caster oil with a total loss system ie the oil went in wile running and was blown out all over the plane and pilot. It is sticky messy stuff if you have ever felt it.

And then there was the gyroscopic force with made the plane a pain in the ass to turn without twisting.

Assuming that car is modified, which it certainly looks like it is... The rev limiter is a relic of a time gone. My standard redline was 7krpm. Now it is set as high as 9.4krpm. I wouldn't even see some of my rev range if I didn't change the cluster.
