That's the crux of it all right there. They grew up in a time where the Left represents everything right, cool and just whereas the Right is wrong, dated and evil. They've codified a whole mode of thought around justifying blatant hypocrisies all in the name of political loyalty, unity and purity. Here's the thing, the election as it is is already going to go to Trump. There's no way Clinton's going to win with more leaks incoming and Muslims suddenly going batshit all over Europe. It's virtually a done deal already.

So if Bernie's only priority is beating Trump and he polls better against Trump than Clinton then refusing to endorse in light of the DNC corruption makes perfect sense. The fact so many people are running to Stein and Johnson shows this election may very well be the long overdue straw that breaks the two-party system and in this kind of atmosphere Bernie going 3rd party would have more success now than anytime before.
