Turkey Military Coup Thread
FUCK!
I always find out about this shit on 4chan or polandball. Thanks, anyway!

Roaches getting #rekt by Turkish Cobras.
>>1188479
holy fucking shit holy fucking shit
>>1188512
Yeah, putschists are loosing ground left and right. no way this coup will end rather peacefully. They probably should've waited for the full support of the military or at least a major part of it like they did in 1960. The problem is that they are just a small part of the army and also have no support from high rank generals.
It's highly likely that Erdogan will return even stronger and more authoritarian than before. RIP Turkey. Poor Atatürk is still spinning in his grave.
>>1188519
i'm too drunk to read this. are they killing the muslims or what?
>>1188531
Putschist were shooting Erdogan supporters who are pretty religious so Kebab is removing itself.
Putschist are failing now
>>1188536
Context?
>>1188540
https://twitter.com/thevocaleurope/status/754093931021893634?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw
No other context other than just 'building' I'm afraid.
>>1188543
I see.
Where are you getting these webms from? Liveleak? I only found a way to download mp4.
>>1188536
What is this, a video for ants?
>>1188546
Yeah sorry, I guess that was the videos actual resolution.
>>1188546
Is this the Bosphorus bridge?
>>1188550
Doesn't look like it. Seems more like something in the vicinity of the governmetal district.
Is this a pro-Islam coup or is this the military enacting their constitutional right to prevent an Islamic theocracy from taking over?
>>1188575
The later, the military want a secular country.
>>1188575
The latter. The military is trying to implement real secularity. Though there are some reports that they are belonging to the Gülen movement but I don't know if they are pro islamist or not
>>1188575
The military is attempting to overthrow the pro-Islamist government and President. They swore an oath a long time ago to Attaturk to prevent religion from controlling Turkey and keep it a secular/western state.
Erdogan is shit, but this won't end well.
This is the best thing ISIS could have hoped for.
>>1188584
Some are saying that Erdogan orchestrated the coup himself to justify taking more power. I fear the coup will fail and he'll declare a state similar to Iran or some shit; an Islamist theocracy.
>>1188587
It probably is what it will turn into if the coup fails. RIP Turkey
>>1188587
I don't even know what to think.
If Putschists wins, the region will be even less stable. If Erdogan wins you get one more Belarus on the outskirts of the EU.
I don't know what this means for democracy - the coup is completely undemocratic, but it seems like Erdogan wasn't a fan of it either.
>>1188590
So much for the shining beacon of the muslim world.
Here are streams: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mq5hrUDoYo

Just ignore the live chat on youtube if you don't want to get cancer.
>>1188596
Thanks anon. Glory to Arstotzka.
>>1188596
Sad thing that such a promising attempt at modern secular state which has Islam as its main religion failed so badly. Poor Atatürk ;_;
Hot video of the parliament shelling coming through.
>>1188609
Is it known whether it was a shell or a bomb?
>>1188614
I would think a missile but it could be a bomb. I doubt they would fire artillery.
>>1188609
Probably a bomb. Sure wasn't fired by artillery, I think.
>>1188469
Love this clip
Oh shit fucking civvies being shot in the streets reported anyone got a vid?
>>1188628
Shit like this sucks. My parents lived through this in 1991 Lithuania. The uncertainty is probably the scariest part (unless you're one of those being crushed by tank tracks or fired upon bu the military).
Great thread
Putschists taking Turk CNN broadcast station. No 100% confirmation on what alliance the soldiers have tho
>>1188679
warning: extremely not safe for life. Very gory. Mangled bodies
Civilians and putschists clashing over a tank. Warning shot fired
>all this happening in one month
>>1188688
thanks for the trigger warning. i'll be in my safe space if you need me.
>>1188688
kek
>>1188675
Arduan owns the media, and controls what they say so its the coup.
Holy shit, how am I just now hearing about this?
>>1188679
I could've sworn there was a larger version of this
>>1188688
Too much open minds for you ?
>>1188679
What words were exchanged?
>>1190033
those are tracer rounds; usually every 5th one on the belt is a tracer; tracers are bullets with phosphorous coating in the back that ignite once exposed to atmospheric oxygen, making targeting easier at night
they are obviously shooting at kebab
does anyone have the video of the CNN anchors getting killed on camera?

>Supporting the turkish goverment
I guess you don't really know who the true roaches are
>>1191583
He isn't supporting the government you idiot.
A little higher resolution.
Also in a higher resolution but still shit quality because it's been ripped from Twitter
Someone might be able to convert it but there's one of a tank running over a taxi which is pretty good.
>>1191583
Army was trying to overtake the government. You don't have any idea what is going on do you?
>>1188536
Afaik thats the turkish intelligence agency building.
>>1188698

>>1188579
So are we cheering for the military then?
>>1199517

>>1188530
For anyone curious, that is not a turkish tank.
It's a Leopard 2, which many european countries are using, but not Turkey.
