The game wasn't intended to be about hardware fps skills. It was about teamwork and doing the objective. They made giant player hitboxes to make the game easier for everyone, probably mostly for console scrubs.

I disagree. Tf2's update system relies on gimmicks now, which work in that they make new players download the game. Some proof-of-purchase like you or I have already had our run of micro-transactions and are no longer pouring money into it, because we have the items we want.
