You've got to realize though, since we sent a rover there, we can never actually be sure of whether or not life found there is stuff that we brought over.
In an ideal, perfect mission to mars, the rover would have most likely have been sterile--but unfortunately, there is no such thing as %100 percent accuracy with human fallibility. Furthermore, we know only a handful of information about the chemical processes that take place on mars--we know for sure that bacterial fossilization can take place within a relatively short amount of time on earth, so we also have to consider that to be a factor on mars until we know more. When we're able to do manned missions, I can see research into this being more trustworthy.

Furthermore, the samples found don't provide a guarantee that they were, in fact, bacteria or other living organisms. They only suggest.

I am kind of intrigued by the amino acids/building blocks found on mars tho, I'd start looking there.
