Well I agree with that. I think the weapons are nicely balanced apart from that (then again the SSG was always just kinda better than the normal shotgun in the old games, too), the only thing I'm kinda iffy about is mod balance. There's a few where one mod is just outright better (or more fun, if that makes any sense) than the other.
See the shotgun for example. Or the HAR, where the scope is actually really good but who the fuck wants to use a scope in a Doom game?
Same problem with the gauss cannon, although it doesn't help the siege mode is the best and coolest weapon in the game. Gatling mods suffer from being imbalanced too, the turret mode is just outright better.
