For the image noise, lower the ISO setting as much as you can, then mess around with the aperture as much as you want until you get either to the farthest you can go or a nice light level you like, but if you do stills, you can mess around with the shutter speed too, but I'd recommend getting a tripod if you plan on that.
Depending on the camera, (I'm assuming it's a DSLR of some sort) you should be able to put it into ISO priority or whatever which'll make you able to change the ISO and the camera will calculate the settings for the Shutter and Aperture.

I dunno if you knew this but I feel like helping.
