I don't understand how their suicide trucks are so effective. Yes they're armoured, but they're (relatively) slow as fuck, BECAUSE they're armoured you know exactly what it is and where it's coming from, and the driver can barely see because the window is mostly covered.

You get taught how to calculate and map manually first, it involves some low level calculus which i thought was pretty cool because all I did in high school was geometry.

Tbh, even if it can be shit sometimes, it sounds like the kind of life I want. I really want an exciting job, something that isn't as monotonous as my life is now - go to school, practice for exams, take exams, repeat.

I'm set on joining the military but not sure which branch or which job to shoot for. I can't fly or anything because of shitty eyesight, but I was looking at the Royal Navy. Though, I hear the life can be boring as fuck because you're on a tiny ass ship for months.

Artillery is your best option. You're close enough to the action for the bragging rights, but you're not in any REAL danger. In a deployed environment you'd have a whole infantry unit posted next to you as your security. Artillery is exciting, and doing fire direction control stimulates the mind so you don't end up a dumb grunt. I'm biased as fuck but they dont call it the king of battle for nothing.

Also, artillery does seem fun, but i've always been a more engineering type guy. I was looking at the combat engineer roles and also tank crew roles. What do you think about those? Is artillery proper 'soldiering', or do you get the chance to do any real soldier stuff?
