God it annoys me so much. I understand why they cut it, but it only made things worse. Plus they left it in the game, on the stat screen and items for it but gave zero indication that such an important mechanic in the last games, one you could build characters around and one that many people did, doesn't actually DO anything in 3. PVP is fucked, but the real crime is that PVE got fucked harder. Literally more than half the weapons and armour sets are rendered useless because 3 already had the least difference in damage reduction between armour and now without poise, there's literally NO REASON to EVER use most of the armour when you can find something with maybe half the stats and weight which has a minimal impact on damage taken but a massive one on speed. And fuck huge weapons are useless because they only do like 20% more damage per hit than small weapons and without poise, you can't fucking land hits unless they're slow as fuck or you only go for the safest shots which takes all the fun out of the game.
the game was designed with poise in mind, half the enemies just involve spamming R1 but you can see that with poise there'd actually be effective ways of fighting them with slower weapons but you can't because a fucking leaf is enough to stagger you. I love the game but Jesus Christ this is a whole new level of incompetency from From. The people defending this are literally fucked in the head.

Yes I'm God damn angry. There's no reason to play the game more than once because the only playstyle that isn't a bore or complete bullshit is to be super fast DPS, which was also the most boring playstyle in the older games.

Not him but the translations for Part 5 are awful and they got King Crimson's power wrong. He actually has nothing to do with cause and effect, that was made up by the translators to explain their own explanation of the power which was already wrong. What King Crimson actually does is;

Epitaph (the face on his forehead) can predict up to 10 seconds in the future and show it to Diavolo like a little stream of what's going to happen in exactly 10 seconds if he DOESN'T activate King Crimson. So for example Epitaph shows him that in 10 seconds a man is going to walk up to him and punch him in the dick, and then Diavolo punches the guy in the dick. Diavolo waits until 5 seconds before he's supposed to get punched in the dick and activates King Crimson. Unlike The World's stopped time, KC's erased time is literally erased so what Diavolo sees in those 10 seconds are actually in his own little 'world' or 'universe' outside of space and time, and the people he sees are just projections of what Epitaph would predicted would happen. This is why he can'r hurt or be hurt in erased time, since it's not actually in the real world. So the projections continue to act out what Epitaph predicted except the difference is that Diavolo can do whatever the fuck he wants in this time period. The guy will just punch the thin air where Diavolo was standing while Diavolo makes his way behind him. Even though Diavolo wasn't there to punch the guy in the dick after being punched in the dick, Epitaph predicted him being punched in the dick so he still gets hurt and reacts from it, but Diavolo is immune to what Epitaph predicted. When 10 seconds is up or he decides he's at the right spot, time will resume and Diavolo will be warped back into the real world standing where he was at the very end of the projection and everyone else will teleport to where their projections were at the end as well. So in real time, time just jumps from when KC activated to when Diavolo warped back.

So basically he sees what's going to happen 10 seconds before it does and by activating KC, everyone else has to do exactly what Epitaph predicted except for Diavolo. To everyone but him, it's like teleporting instantly from one spot to another of no memory of how the fuck you got there. Only Diavolo knows what happened in the deleted time. Because deleted time is in it's own little world outside space and time, he can't be hurt by anything nd he can only hurt someone if Epitaph already predicted him doing it in which case they get hurt regardless of if he erases time. So cause and effect isn't erased, nothing happened but everyone takes on the state they were in during the end of the projection in erased time. So Diavolo warps in to where he positioned himself and the guy who was going to punch his dick will be lying on the ground with a painful dick not knowing what happened, to him he was walking towards Diavolo and then instantly on the ground with a sore dick.

It's powerful because Diavolo can avoid literally any attack since he knows about them 10 seconds before they happen and he can't be hurt in erased time and then while everyone's confused and disoriented from the sudden teleportation, he attacks.
