Again you didn't understand the entire context leading up to the fight. This wasn't a hyping thing, the guy had a serious beef with Aoki for some reason that he was going on about for months. Second of all this isn't a "cart blanche" reason to ending a guy's career. When you go into any contact sport you go in fully knowing that you can face any possible injury and in cases of combat sports like Boxing, Wrestling, Shooto, etc. You go in any of these events, you should know exactly when you're beat and when you should be conceding the fight, he had plenty of opportunity to verbally concede which btw is a valid admission of concession in these in addition to tapping on the opponent or the floor with hands or feet. Also lol at ending his fight career, you don't know shit. Guy went on to still fight 10 more times and is still an active athlete to this day.

Yeah in boxing they hype the fight up for months to a year to generate ppv revenue and negotiate purse splits. In MMA stuff there's a contract that you're slated to have a fight minimum per year or total(depends again on the contract).

Look I am going to politely presume you don't really do any combat sports training or an enthusiast since otherwise you would have understood the context behind the match and watched it fully or know what it would be like in that position and that's fine but you need to understand from another perspective. Watch that video there's actually about 5-6 seconds that the opponent had a chance to tap out. If you watch the entire fight Aoki pretty much has the mount and dominating position and the arm back for ages and there is absolutely no way for the opponent to even escape that, fight was pretty much over at that point. If you're in a hold that's got a good chance of injuring you and you are in pain you will concede within well less than half the time.

Also lol at thinking boxers stay in control in the ring. You think Boxers haven't done dirty shit or shown disrespect in the middle of a fight or after the fight before? I've seen fights where Pacquiao got intentionally headbutted because the other guy was frustrated at him(I don't remember the exact fight but I know the ref was Laurence "I got paid" Cole). Most would go for a take down as expected. Also it's important to remember that tyson wasn't a defensive fighter he relied far to much of reflex and movement.
