Very nice theme, love the colors and font and overall thing. However I feel kinda weirden out by the way the apps are launched : you tap on that arrow too show a panel of some apps or slide from bottom to top to show directly the drawer; why not use directly the drawer than ? it seems less bothering if you're going to do a move before lauching the app you're looking for. Here is what I would have done : create a new page on the right were you put all the apps you need and remove that panel on the bottom of the middle screen and the app drawer ( and make sure the new right page is riced the same as the center one)

In the animation department, indeed I need your advise. I just can't make the return animation sync up with the boxes. Putting delays make the animation so damn long and it's stupid. It looks kind of aesthetically acceptable so I didn't bother so much.

i made the music player myself in klwp, just use icons for the player and have a touch action that skips/plays/rewinds. for the play/pause have the corresponding icons show up according to music status using an if statement. i used a progress bar and a circle whose left padding changes based on the time

its probably KLWP or KWGT, if you make a shape and then go to FX, there's a mask called "blurred background" and when you have it selected you can change the blur amount

as far as the icon pack and launcher, not a clue, but nova + klwp is a good way to do whatever you want without rooting

How do you get your notification bar to be like that, namely the battery portion.

Alright fair points lol. SO how is the animation triggered? Is it a switch or a formula? If it's a switch change the delay for the date to the calculator icon. Click the circle next to it and click the calculator icon up above in the top right. Then enter a formula like $if(gv(*NAME-OF-YOUR-SWITCH-HERE)=1,(input current delay value here),(input delay for when it is off here))$ The one in that formula means the switch is on, when the switch is on and the parentheses are replace with the number for your current delay are plugged in it will act normal. When you turn it off however, the next number will be the delay, you'll want it to be longer so that the squares can do their shit before the date box scales back out. Hope it helps, let me know if I need to explain shit better.

The bright red and teal are really jarring, imo. Even if they don't seem as bright in real life, I'd still suggest choosing more muted colours. I'd also consider the placement of your clock. Perhaps it'd look neat if it was a bit smaller and fit into just the sky, without overlapping the trees?

Hey adrift Booch here I stopped ricing for a bit and noticed that I really want to make my own icon packs.

When I was 16 I would use Google draw and download as pngs then clean them up in some free program.

the dock is swipeable to the left/right to reveal more apps.
the top bar has pseudo-pages. instead of the widget changing itself, swiping switches launcher screens to reveal the exact same widget except the other widget shows the date. i did this because of zooper limitations.
the homescreen tints itself with a red gradient from the bottom up if the battery gets too hot.
any suggestions?

also, you have two clocks and the statusbar font doesn't work with the homescreen. hide it.

My phone (Sony Xperia Ion) wants to crop any wallpaper picture I put on.
I think it's doing that to "cut out" a cross like shape for when the phone rotates sideways. That's ridiculous, why not just keep the original wallpaper?

Anway, my question is: does anyone know the proper dimensions for it to stop cropping it? I tried some ghetto solutions like taking a screenshot of the cropping rectangle and then measuring its proportions, but I don't think that's precise enough because I got a really weird ratio.

Yes, that's the resolution of the screen. But even when I create a wallpaper of that size it still wants to crop it.
After some research, I found a size which fits the cropping rectangle and I just rolled with it. I don't think it's possible to forego the cropping part.

Once I had a clear image in my mind, I made a prototype(pic related) to test the animation. I then applied what I learned with the prototype onto the final project.

I managed to get it working on my unrooted LG G5 lol, but it looks kinda bad. There's no way to remove the default clock on the lockscreen without rooting, and there's no way to root the canadian G5.

Just set the KLWP to both homescreen and lockscreen.

You'll then need some overlays to hide the default lockscreen clock/text

For Samsung devices on Nougat, you can use this overlay: https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyS8/comments/6imolc/changeremove_lock_screen_clock_no_root_new_method/, and also use Clean Lock Substratum (clean statusbar only). Root isn't required.

For other devices, you will need to use Clean Lock Substratum (root or a custom ROM with OMS support is needed to use Substratum).
