Just got done making my desktop today. I'm decently happy with it, bearing in mind the windows limitations.

As a total linux newbie who just managed to get manjaro to boot I have a couple questions (I plan to go straight for a rice and learn stuff along the way ):

Do most people scrap a DE in favor of a WM like i3? The gap/tiling aesthetic is very appealing.

Pretty everyone has their own custom fonts/color themes/whatever else. Is there a standard config file for editing these things? (As well as the way in which window borders and other things look?)
