The orange was already fairly bright compared to the black and I have no idea what you want fixed. Are you sure your monitor settings are within reasonable limits? Because sounds to me like you have the contrast set to way too low.

If you don't mind it being cropped it's easy. If you want someone to add the edges then yeah, doing it manually would be a huge pain and PS filters would be noticeable immediately.

This will be my last post on this because arguing over this thread is pointless but I feel that I must defend myself.

Never did I ever demand that my image be modified. I made an assumption that my request was not being made simply because my request initially made no sense. After reading it over, I realized this and had a feeling that since nobody would understand the instructions, it would never get done. I just don't get why me trying to clarify my instructions came off as demanding my image be done.

Images are stretched if they're edited by an idiot, no image has to be stretched to fit any resolution, they're cropped at worst. But yes it will be very blurry since it's nowhere near your desired size. As a rule of thumb, unless its something very simple like a vector then anything more than 1.5x the original size will look like crap.

Hey, I said that the stretch was fine after you pointed out the original and the quality isn't really something you can reasonably improve. The request was unreasonable so there's no need to feel bad about the quality. Both are bad when zoomed in though the 2nd is a little bit better but then I've learned that the requesters aren't exactly quality connoisseurs so whatever.

This isn't a wallpaper request, and adding an actual grin would be quite hard to do. Not impossible but good luck getting something natural looking as a free edit on a board that is for wallpapers not photo editing. That said that's a surprisingly decent quality photo compared to what people usually post.

Photoshop has a content aware fill option. Just use that and then fix the edges if there's need for that, on simple backgrounds like this spot healing brush is more than enough to fix any minor mistakes content aware would make.
