You mean if I got screenshots of them? No, not yet. I have all the seasons on my computer, even the HD upscaling of seasons 1 and 2 (if you know of any for 3 and 4, please let me know), but haven't gone through them for any screenshots. Can't imagine those would make decent backgrounds, but I can try after this series is done. I mean, I guess the screenshots from the original series could be edited into good backgrounds, but I'm too lazy for that.

Keep trying to post more images, but it keeps saying upload failed...hmm.

Any and all screenshots I take of the non-upscaled original series only comes out as 720x482. I've seen bigger screenshots of the original series, is there a better version that I'm missing?

The HD upscaled seasons I have are only for 1 and 2. So, I can take decently sized screenshots only for 1 and 2 so far, unless people have been taking blurry print-screen version shots of seasons 3 and 4. I guess I could do that, but wouldn't feel good about the quality.

I can't post any screenshots from the original series without HD upscale because the resolution is too small to post in /wg/, but this is a shot from the upscale. Would this be worth screenshotting?

I might do it out of curiosity, but we wouldn't have any screenshots from seasons 3 or 4 (yet) because we don't have upscaled versions of those.

Does anyone have a pape of Jack as he was shown in the sa-moo-rai's flashback in episode 6 of season 5? It was a white background with jack depicted in red and blue.

The only ending I would've accepted that involved Jack never getting back to the past would have to have Ashi dead (sorry) so it would just be Jack and the Scotsman roaming across the lands together for all eternity fighting off evil wherever they see it. You know, between all their friendly bantering. Aku dead or not, optional, but I assume Aku would have to be alive for more evil.

Any wallpapers from the original series are a hard find in decent quality, good luck in finding something like that, anon. I'm waiting for some fans to finish upscaling the original series to HD before I even attempt screenshotting the later seasons.

You're too kind, but it's good to know there's someone else who's using a fuckton of these papers as well. I've got them all stashed away on my external, the ones that I don't use that is. These do take up a good amount of space, and I'm surprised Imgur hasn't tried stopping me for using so much of their free space.

Although I do wish Imgur would've kept the original sorting of the pictures to make it easier for you guys to find the images you want. In the folders, they're all in order of how they occur in the episode, as you can see from the file names, and appear so neat on my computer and external. But since Imgur scrambles them, I have to individually go in and re-order the images, I used to do that for the first few episodes, but I started getting so busy that I haven't done it past episode 3 or 4 I think.

I never wanted a romance between Jack and Ashi, but it hurts to see him hurt more even though I was 95% sure Ashi was going to die ever since episode 4. Had weeks to prepare for this, didn't even care for their romance, but it still hurts. Maybe it's the hurt of it being over, who knows.

Those papes are really hard to find, anon, sorry. Mostly due to the lack of any decent quality images. Even the DVD rips give you crappy sized images. Only recently have some fans gone through and HD upscaled seasons 1 and 2 for much better screenshots, but still waiting on 3 and 4.

Anyone know what the max download amount is per day on Mega for free users? I have Ep 10 zipped up all nice but it's 2.36 GB. If you're hardcore enough for the entire episode, then I guess it could be an option. I've downloaded past the limit before on zipped folders, it just takes a little longer for your download allowance refreshes.

It's really incredible that Genndy and his team did that.

Not only was it a final bit of nostalgia and fanservice, but it was worked into the story as Aku's final gloat before his downfall.

And it was also a symbolic gesture in that they wanted Mako (or at least his iconic and irreplaceable voice) to be there in the final episode too, if only in spirit.

It was an homage, fanservice, tribute and narrative device all in one. And that's why it's cartoon kino.

Still mixed feelings about this episode though. If it weren't for this episode, we could've had other things more thoroughly developed and explored (not to mention the ending more hashed out) besides a relationship between Jack and Ashi that was already interesting without the romance. Definitely a filler episode (of which I hate fillers), but it was still fun to see Jack being awkward as fuck around women, as per usual, even though I don't ship the two. Just sucks that this had to be put into a limited series to close it all out on.

I really enjoyed their dynamic when Ashi was constantly trying to kill Jack and Jack was all chill about it and handled it like a pro. The ending to 8 really threw me off because of copyright music, like legit I didn't know what to think of that because they've never done that before, almost more surprising to me than their kiss. And np, getting some decent screenshots for myself off of this episode at least.

Yeah, sort of happy ending, I'm happy Jack finally got back to the past since it's the main plot of the story and basically his biggest concern, was just uncertain at some point on whether or not he would.

Now my mind is wild with all the possibilities that are in store for Jack since he's back home with so much knowledge

Considering souls exist without a doubt in Jack, and ladybugs symbolize lovers in eastern mythology (especially coming to him right under that tree), I thought Jack's smile was him realizing that Ashi was still with him, he was just going to have to wait a long time to truly be with her again.

Yeah I don't think everyone got wiped out of existence and everything is grim and gloom like some would want to believe (or complain about). It's more like they'll still exist, just in happier circumstances and back on their home planets (since Aku forced a lot of people to live on the same planet as him).

A lot of people like to be negative nancies about it for the sake of complaining, but I'm hopeful about the ending. Also, we just have to assume Jack ages regularly now? I'd hope so, because not aging or not dying would just fuck him up even more in the long run.

Alright, got it all screenshotted tonight, but not uploaded, so that sucks. If I wake up in plenty of time before work, which I haven't lately because my sleep has been shit, I'll try doing that before I leave. If not, it'll have to wait a few days because I have two shifts back-to-back with only 7 hours of sleep time between the two.

Been wanting to have this done within a timely manner after the series ended, but thanks. At first I started this off for myself because I'm very peculiar about what I'd want for Samurai Jack screenshots, and then I thought there has to be other really obsessive folks on 4chan that would enjoy this as well, so it's comforting to know I'm not alone in that regard.

I guess this way it doesn't end so quickly and I can spend more time talking about the season, so that's nice.

I've saved a fuckton of these, and I say that as someone who is also super picky.

And yeah, I don't want the ride to end. Posting "GOTTA GET BACK" every week with /co/ was some of the most fun I've had in a while. I was pretty interested when they announced a new season but I didn't expect to follow it every week like I did as a kid with the first four.

Same here, I spent a shit ton of time on /co/, almost every day since it started up again. At first I didn't think I'd be super interested in it since it had been so many years since I watched the original series. I had heard SJ was coming back, but didn't think much of it until I saw the trailer, then that made me go "Alright, I guess I'll watch it and see how it is."

After watching it livestreamed on the Adult Swim website, I was fucking hooked and fell in love with SJ all over again. After the first episode, I binge watched the original 4 seasons to get me back up to speed with it all.

Original Jack is kinda timeless, I think that's part of why it did so damn well.
