Yes I am. Super slow though, got a lot of projects to complete for work and university, so that sucks. On the bright side, I was able to get my sister hooked on the new Samurai Jack season since she came up to visit over holiday weekend.

Damn, re-watching these Samurai Jack episodes over and over are making me appreciate how visually stunning these episodes have been. Even though it takes me about an hour to screenshot every episode, I don't want this ride to end.

Will probably get around to organizing these and putting them up on Imgur tomorrow, or super late tonight. Had a couple of interviews this week and some projects finished, so busy times.

Alright, I have work in 5 hours, better get some sleep. Was a fun weekend, none of these episodes have been disappointing for me at all, despite the meltdown that /co/ likes to have after each episode.

Think it was the color scheme for this episode, but it made for some really clear screenshots. In the first three episodes, the darker palette made the screenshots puffy or edgier around the edge if it was a dark setting. Like the cave in episode 3, often gave some unclear/weird outlines.

And sorry, not anytime soon. The filler nature of the most recent episode really killed my mood. Just had surgery the day before it aired and was in a terrible mood, hoping to have literally anything else addressed in the next episode, but nope.

A filler episode in a 10-episode only limited series that pushes a rushed romance and does nothing else for the season...for fuck's sake. Writing their relationship as a sexual attraction is the easiest cop-out for writing. Up until that point the relationship was up in the air, and for all I care, could've been left unanswered to what kind of relationship they had other than one where they cared for each other in one shape or the other.

It's nice for Jack to have a romance after all these years, but forced as fuck in final season. Jack doesn't need a romantic excuse to care for someone in matters of saving their life and risking his for theirs, he does that for any human he runs into basically.

Ashi is cute as fuck tho.

Really though the only thing that bothered me was that HORRIBLE kissing scene at the end. The way it was drawn was just bad, Ashi's arm looked like a stump and it looked like her mouth was sliding over onto Jack's cheek. Plus the song choice was just weird. I never expected (or wanted) a licensed song in a Samurai Jack episode, and a sappy love song from the 60s was just tonally off.
