Alright /wg/, I need your help. I am bored and am trying to make an uncanny-looking, possibly glitch-looking puppetmaster wallpaper.
Here is the base image:

This is an "intermediate" step, which IMo is the best looking result so far.

...and this is what I ended up with on my first try.
I'm not sure what I don't like about it, and figured you guys might be able to tell me how to improve it (or the previous pic).
Any thoughts or suggestions?

I definitely like yours more than mine. However, I think that the darkness is what was bothering me earlier.
Could you apply your glitch effect to the 2nd picture instead, which isn't as dark as this one?
