I see. normally use unix. I recently got ahold of a free PC i put W7 on for vidya and I'm having trouble getting the W95 theme to be any decently extensive. like not fading away windows when I click out of them or changing all the icons in explorer to what they should be. why I'm lurking here. man windows is such garbage, is there any guide?

Classic95 is an icon set you can download and then change to in settings/tweak tool.

Using the classic win95 font will probably help the look too.

this. for basic shit the main thing that makes a big difference is the desktop environment so find one that you like, livecd it and learn to do stuff with command line. I like linux and use Windows and OS X as well but I don't think I could go over to linux for everyday computing.
