1st Season: Shit kid Avatar and a good villain. Decent season, althought mostly fueled by hype/nostalgia. Cracks and flaws were mostly ignored.

2nd Season: Still a shit kid. Villain is boring but spirit world adventures were decent enough. Also: UNCLE IROH MUFUCKERS! LOOK AT DAT O.G. SIPPIN ON DAT TEA N SHIT!

3rd season: Our protags are all bumbling fucks or dumb fucks, even most of the adults. Tenzin and Milf Beifong being (not so consistent) exceptions. 4th Season: Whatsherface just being best girl(that cold, sexy, calculating, merciless bitch. Take my seed and let us raise our little ubermenschen in our prosperous earth kingdom) but also being too radical about it. Writers finally reach "Fuck It" threshold and insert a mix of their feces and piss onto their pens to serve as "ink": Double down on muh feelings, muh akward relationships, muh traumas, muh super badass but vulnerable avatar womyn. At least we got a giant robot, but even that was shit-tier.

The show was marketed as the more "gritty mature adult" avatar series. so i guess there goes the kid show idea. The entirety of the show was Korra being amazing at everything, while being a spoiled brat who refused to take any advice because "shes strong and independant" and never had to face any consequences for her actions, while also failing at every turn only to have her problems taken care of for her... by a man. (except for when that little girl literally turned into the avatar for like 5 minutes with no explanation. That is pretty much the essence of the loudest sjw agenda.

1st season - Korra is irritating but it makes sense for the character. Season is rushed as fuck and ends with a beginning to a romance where there was no chemistry. Second coolest villain in this series, Steve Blum is the business.

2nd season - The low for the series. Interesting concept for a villain, a second avatar, but by the time it /got there/ it was short lived and then just kind of blah. Too much nothing in this season.

3rd season - A return to form, where the characters actually getting some depth beyond their initial archetypes. Best villains in the series, with some of the coolest action of /both series/. When the Earth Queen died... That episode is probably the best episode of either show, with the possible exception of the Sozin's Comet four-parter. You really feel for the characters... all of them. Characters (like Bumi) who were just kind of there for exposition before now have a purpose in furthering the airbenders. Tenzin is the most likeable he's ever been and you really feel for him and REALLY think he died that one time. They pulled this season off extraordinarily. I'd say it is as a whole better than ATLA season 1.

Season 4 - Not as good as 3, but Korra is the most relatable as she's ever been. Kuvira is a manipulative and wonderful villain. Her backstory and her... everything. Is just so baller. Oh man. She's so close to being better than Amon. the only thing keeping her behind him is that Amon was slightly more fresh of a villain... also Steve Blum. But yes! The characters MATTER now. Asami is more than just the kind-of-along-for-the-ride character, she's a total badass in battle and her and Korra have amazing chemistry (Started in S3 but really grew in this one. I rooted for it so much but never expected it would actually /happen/). Mako is likable for the first time here as well, and Bolin is back from being just the funny earthbender, he grew so much. Between his disparity with his brother over Kuvira's plans and... textlimit

Though I prefer The Last Airbender, Korra is also pretty good imo.

My issue with Legend of Korra was that it tried to do too much too fast. TLA had one main goal and a bunch of smaller conflicts between, TLK had four almost entirely disconnected conflicts that were introduced and resolved per season which made the pacing weird. Not to mention that it took until season 3 to see other parts of the world that weren't some random ass village or republic city.

Korra had a lot of character issues that were annoying as fuck, she was entirely unlikable in all of season 2 and it was frustrating as shit, but otherwise I liked her and it's whatever.

Also, if they really make Korra go lesbo in the comics just to cave into the autistic Korrasami timblurinas I'll probably write it off as a loss, but that was nowhere to be seen in the show itself so I can just ignore it.

And before any butthurt fangirl goes off on me about it, I'm not mad because lesbians, I'm mad because making korra and asami lesbians makes literally no sense at all, I don't give a single shit what some fuckhead writer said outside of the show, it wasn't IN the show and it makes no sense to force it now.

I literally just rewatched both shows back to back starting The Last Airbender the day before easter and finishing the last episode of Korra like an hour or two ago and I can safely say that lesbian Korra/Asami was never even remotely hinted at in the show.

Really the only thing people could ever take as more romantic was the handholding as they left for the spirit world at the very end of the last episode, but those people are just grasping at straws and/or apparently don't know how female friends work.

Other than the last episode all they ever did was completely normal talks about their issues and relationship problems with Mako.
