Wheel of Time papes?
I'm just starting my first re-read of this beautiful series. Unfortunately I don't have anything to contribute, but thanks for this thread.

Tbh, I liked his descriptions of stuff. I liked his detailed backround ifnormation. I know the series is getting a lot of criticism for it's lengthy, possibly unnecessary descriptions. But personally, I was never bored reading them and they really made me feel part of the story.

But that's what makes it decent. It's called setting the scene. It's such a shame that the series ended so badly, you could notice the difference between Sanderson's style immediately and it really threw me off.

If you removed 1/4 of the redundant descriptions, you would have two less books.
