This picture is from the Toronto downtown datacentre, circa 1968. It would run end-of-day batch for banking ledgers and brokerage, typically overnight. The software it originally ran was call COLT - "Canadian OnLine Teller" ... versions of which still run at various banks today. Yes it ran punch cards and magnetic tape storage.
It was closed sometime between 1974-1978 and the processing was moved to the Don Mills Datacentre.
