>>6820845
its just a plane
>>6821606
for u
>>6821606
but its the best one
>>6821716
Why do you think it's the best?
>>6821733
>able to pick up radar contact over the horizon
>aim 59s to take out unaware targets from 70 miles away
>carrier based so it can operate almost anywhere
>extremely high alpha capabilities
>able to visually identify targets with its tv set far bvr
>two crew to relieve workload
if anything its lack of aim 120 support is the only drawback. even then it can be implemented fairly easily
>>6821771
plus it looks sexy
>>6821771
but its not the sexiest
>>6821805
Agreed, what do you think looks the sexiest?
>>6821810

come on now. look at those curves.
I love commercial planes but don't have any interest in military jets for some reason.
Quick dump anyway

Nothing specific, just modern planes like post WWII.
I like mig21
>>6830704
Thank you! God do I hate the look of Russian Planes.
>>6831737
One day you'll understand that planes are not built for aesthetics but rather performance.
Not today, I guess
>>6831848
>I post C-47
>Your argument
Did you mean that?
>>6831848
Why not both?
>>6832270
>>6832150
The DC-3 is, in my opinion, the best aircraft ever made. However, I maintain that planes are not built for aesthetics but rather for performance. That certainly does not mean that they are bad looking, but the fact that they look good is not a primary goal.

NASA ER-2 high-altitude research aircraft

f-86 is still super sexy you motherfuckers

One of the USAF's greatest pilots. Colonel Robin Olds
Any other pilots out there?
>>6835638
Yessir, working on my Commercial Multi w/Instrument at the moment
>>6835638
Without a doubt. Instrument in progress with an intention of Commercial and eventually USAF UPT.
>>6836255
You're going into the wrong order man. Hit UPT first, they won't take you if you get too old but if they do take you they'll pay to train you. You're wasting money and making it less likely they pick you up

>"Destroy the Arsenal Bird"
>>6836716
Well, I'm 20 right now, in college, going through ROTC with the USAF.

Messerschmitt Me-262. Boy those Nazis knew how to build a plane, what a beauty
>>6821599
>>6837220
Oh that's fine then. Still, you don't have to kill yourself getting civilian hours unless you want to. I'm flying in ENJJPT right now and most of the ROTC guys here have maybe 10 hours if that.
>>6838152
Damn dude, ENJJPT? Thats awesome! Yeah, I hear the hours cap out at 200. But I definitely think having all the experience helps out, even if its just a little bit. What are you trying to fly? Whats your endgame here?
>>6832663
>>6830312
any more hud shots?
>>6838613
Yeah man, I had no hours at all. The biggest component in getting here is your GPA, PFA scores, how you do at field training, and your PCSM score. My top end right now would be a 15C or 16.
We had a drop night here on Friday, aside from a KC10, C17, and C130 everyone up for assignment dropped a fighter. Including two 22's and a 35. Its a great time to try and get a fighter
>>6838843
Unfortunately I've run out of good WP's.
Great to hear! I'm so excited even to get to Pilot Training! The planes we fly now are so slow and boring, but thats the idea. But I've nearly maxed my PFA score, and I can crush it with the tests. I'm confident I can earn that slot, and later on, a fighter. Thanks for the knowledge, bro. See you around.
