Dude flying is amazing. Private Pilot here, are you learning the ropes anon? It was the best decision I've ever made in my life to go on that discovery flight.

I'd highly recommend a CPL my dude. Its like private only more in depth and held to stricter tolerances, but you really do solidify the information you use in private and sharpen your skills.

I hold a CPL + MECIR, 3400hrs TT including about 1000 multi turbine (King Air 200.)
For the average weekend warrior, the CPL program isn't going to add all that much.
An aerobatics endorsement, however, will teach you a great deal (including unusual attitude recovery that used to be part of the PPL syllabus 40 years ago that isn't now), which could save your bacon one day. And it's a hell of a lot of fun.

Cool résumé dude
Lots of private pilots know only enough to pass an practical and get by on the written, and could use a good deal more instruction on the principles and concepts behind it all. That being said, I do think unusual attitude recovery and spin training should be included in the training as well.
