if anyone's wondering how i make these, i basically just torrent the blu-ray version of the movies and as the scene of the movie pans down i screenshot each section and stitch it together into a big panoramic with gimp.

Been watching their movies lately. Jesus Christ, the more I watch, the sadder I get, they're such great stories with great characters, makes me wish I still had friends.

yea it could probably work with other movies, im just not sure if any other anime movies besides ghibli's have the same screen-panning scenes to make these pictures

Yeah i could maybe do Ponyo in the future, i'm not sure if it has the same animation style as the older films though but im sure it'll have some scenes in it to make some cool panoramas, check up in future ghibli threads i might work on it

eventually you sometimes end up with these strange ones where the scene pans upward at an angle leaving me not much else to do with it, i'm sure there's really creative people that could edit it in some way to look good
