I've increased the animation speed on these since this screenshot, but that's irrelevant to my question...
What icon pack should I use for this? I'm currently using Whicons, but it looks a bit too "bolded" for my taste. I also have Lines Free, which I'll be trying out later today or tomorrow.

I think this is pretty great. Good colors, smooth and functional animations. The only thing I don't like is how the minimize rectangle button breaks up the rectangular theme. Not sure how you can change that though, because it's so integral to the animation loop. Minor thing, but it's my only complaint. 9/10.

Install KLWP, and find a wallpaper you want to mess around with. There's no way the first version will be great so don't sweat the specifics.

Install a launcher of your choice (personally I use Nova Launcher pro) and get rid of almost everything. Just be sure you leave some way to access your app drawer, even if it's through a gesture. Swap out icon packs,organize your drawer, things like that.

Then, replicate a basic stock interface using KLWP. Put some icons down, maybe some text, just to give yourself the basic functional blocks of app shortcuts and information displays.

Next you can fuck around with animation. Have a rectangle move from the side of the screen as you scroll on the background, or expand when you touch it. Basic stuff.

Once you can do those things, you can replicate about 99% of what you see in these threads. Everything else is just learned through fucking up and finding inspiration when you see a pape that's just right.

The setup here was the first one I ever made and it's pretty shitty, but making something like this with two screens, an animated box, non-stock icons, and special text that reacts on tap will familiarize you with the tools.

Glyphsy wouldn't let me select icons through KLWP, so I tried out Min. I might want to make the icons bigger (currently at size 100, bumped up from 75).
I kind of like the spacing, so I'll try it out for a while.

The launcher I'm using is called Total Launcher, and it has these things called windows. They're basically popup pages that can be resized and positioned wherever you like. I have two thin bars pinned to the sides of my screens, and if I swipe left/right on either of those it triggers that window to appear. Swiping starting from anywhere else switches pages like normal, and the bar at the bottom is triggered by swiping up and it doesn't care where I start.

I literally used almost every setting in Nova and boom. I've tried Zooper and it wasn't working and I couldn't figure out KWGT. So yeah. I usually change my setup biweekly.

Does anyone know how to get shit to disappear when the app drawer closes? I have a background come up when the drawer expands, but I have no idea how to make it close just by itself. There's no way to activate a global based on that action, and animating it to fade out on visibility didn't seem to work either.

If this actually isn't bait then you need to get some consistency. Half the icons are cut off and the lines are all different kinds of thicknesses. A lot of the icons at the bottom look like they were meant to be viewed small but they were blown up bigger than they should have been and now look like they were made for half blind senior citizens. Some of the fonts are really thin but then others are crazy bold and italic.

Been messing around with zooper with kolorette plugin. Kolorette creates a colour palette based on your wallpaper and then you can use it with zooper to colour widgets with elements from the palette, the near thing is that it auto updates when you change wallpaper.

These actually look pretty nice. I'd personally make the spin faster and not last as long (I'm impatient).
As for how I did mine, they just start out scaled out on top of the smoke stack, and scale in when you tap the moon (in sequence, using delays), while scrolling to the left a bit, then to the right into their position on the moon (left coming before right done also with delays). I wanted it to look like the apps were billowing smoke from the chimney.
If you're trying to recreate it, just mess with the scroll animation and delays until you get what you want. (Unless of course you like what you've got right now better. It's your pape, build it to your liking.)

I need some advice not quite sure how to modify my lock screen. I've just recently figured out how to fix up my home screen not the best but a start
Used KK Launcher for layout & resizing of icons, hide icon label & status bar
Used an Icon Pack to changed the icons to the desired symbol instead of the preinstalled one.
Got a Clock widget & adjusted it to my preference.
Background freelance model from fb, ( haven't found another background yet) still any advice

Go Nova Launcher, pick a better icon set, better wallpaper, and remove your border of icons and either make a folder or keep your icons to a minimum.
