Fuck yes, these are my favorite threads.

I love the aesthetic of stairs like this, but it's unfortunate that if you:
a) Plan on having kids
b) Plan on growing old
They're completely unreasonable.
Maybe one could have the first three steps like this, then enter into the more tunnel-like standard staircase. I think there's aesthetic to be found there.
>>6733425
You seem to have mistaken this for the video game screenshots thread.
>>6732714
Source of this?
Love to live here
>>6733611
also comes in winter
Keeping the thread going...
>>6733326
I would give up my left nut to live here for a week

The trees dont match its as if it fake, still fuckn beautiful
good to see some contributions
>>6733514
I'm not sure but it reminds me of a scene in the mansion in the movie Dark Shadows with Johnny Depp
>>6733805
The other one is fake, that one was real.
I can tell because check the panel on the middle wall to the far left at the top left on the green one. There's three dots that correspond to the snow on the branches on the winter one in the same spot.
>>6734359
very nice
>>6733828
yeah, also the bed and blankets are in the same exact position, so either they never used the room or its a well done fake
>>6734359
i would be worried when storms come through
One time I said something like, "These houses look too pristine, I prefer something with more character" and like twenty people got all up in arms and yelled at me. A lot of them sounded personally offended. I didn't really expect people to get so offended by that.
>>6732566
I'm in love
>>6735062
anyone else gettin a spirited away vibe from this
>>6734418
I imagine houses like that are only built in areas where that's not a concern.
Almost all of these are so fucking tacky. Why do you all want to be like disgusting rich people?
>>6736829
do you go into the car thread and complain about how mainstream the cars are as well?
>>6735392
No McMansions, please.

I was there. I knew what you were saying and actually wanted to see more like that.

Where's the exhaust for that fireplace?

somewhere on the side

Only a few exceptions.

a cube
these threads always manage to make me miserable and excited at the same time
>>6740160
I have a similar reaction to supercar threads, which is why I simply don't click on them
houses though are very zen and calming for me
>>6740160
I save a lot of images from these threads not because I want to live in that exact house, necessarily, but because they have a design element that I'd like to remember and possibly crib for my own place eventually.
For instance, the way this one has a large central area with everything branching off from that.

Think of the heating costs though, I have a friend who used to live in an old school house, it was essentially a mansion and some of the rooms had 30ft ceilings which were impossible to heat.
Sure it looked impressive but the house was constantly cold even with the heating on.
It was pretty cool though, it was large enough that we could go days without seeing his parents as they would be in a separate wing of the house, we had massive nerf battles and could do what we wanted.
>>6733614
>Wanting to live in SA
isn't it weird having pictures of other people's houses in your house?
>>6745827
Not the guy you responded to, but I prefer the cold. You won't get sweaty and if you ever get too cold, just put on a sweater or something.
>>6746183
amen to that.
heat dispersal is a pain in the ass when im working at my desk.
computers get hot, man.
holy shit this thread made me sad as fuck, because I know I'll never be that rich to live in such beautiful places. It actually made me realize the shithole I live in.
Fuck, maybe next time I'll open an Extreme Poverty Papes thread, that might put my shit back to normal.
>>6732544
Most of the posts here aren't my bag, the white isolated cubes dripping with consumerist shite but fuck me, this kitchen is incredible
>>6745827
Oh I know, believe me, I live in a house kind of like that already. It's annoying, but literally every house design has drawbacks, and those are things you can compensate for. Building in a warmer climate can render heating a non-issue.
>>6744437
Nice point of view

>Implying a poverty home can't have stylish interior design

Maybe that's why, you know, the roof hangs a meter and a half past the walls.
>>6737637
Holy fuck, where is it?
I love it. I absolutely love it.
>>6735392
Side note, who the fuck actually wants to live in a mansion? You don't need all that space and it'll be a bitch to clean it all.
>>6751782
I think this is a render
I don't want to toot my own horn, but...
>>6752294
Thats a big toilet exhaust. What the hell do they eat?
>>6733335
If you're old you should just completely avoid stars. All the old people I know are done in by stairs.
>>6733617
you could totally look at girls butts who swam in your pool. nice.
>>6739093
>>6733335
You can have hand rails with those kind of stairs without it looking bad. Really, 90% of the aesthetics is having the steps built into the wall or over a single metal profile. Hand rails shouldn't detract from the aesthetics.
>>6732601
Like the houses I build in rust.
breddy gud thread. thanks everyone

Just went back and played MW2 for the first time in years. I quit because hackers had taken over every lobby, but I guess since then steam has implemented VAC and the game is very much alive again
