There was an anon who started a glitch thread ages ago, but went about it in an interesting way. He said he was opening images in an audio editing program, treating a .jpg as an mp3 file, then deleting chunks out of it, saving it back to a .jpg, and posting results. This has been my wallpaper ever since.

Uhh i'm having a problem with it. I select a part of it, but i'm unable to do any effects with it (i'm 100% i select a part of it). The effects are grayed out.

You can also save the image as a raw/data file (I've been using Gimp for that), open it up in Audacity, using the import raw data option, edit it, then export it as a data/raw, reopen it in gimp (resize it to the original size) and see what you did. Then just save that as the file type ya want. Takes some effort getting the import setting right for Audacity sometimes though.
