Alright, I need help. This is my homescreen right now. I only have Nova Launcher and Zooper Widget. My phone isn't rooted as well.

What I want to do is have a few words appear on top of the girl like "You need a break?" or "Have you eaten?" or "Drank lately?". I'll basically have a bank of these where the widget takes from randomlg just to remind me to relax a bit. I'm in my last year of post secondary and sometimes the stress just makes me forget about my mental/physical health.

I'm by no means an expert but I'll give my two cents on the subject. As I understand it, you can use zooper for this, but it will take very long and be an overall tedious task.

Zooper does have a random integer generator, and it generates a number between 0 and 1. Just use int((random())*(Top most number, exclusive)

So if I did int((random())*(10) it will give me 10 numbers between and including 0 and 9. It will NOT go up to 10. Now the problem is that Zooper doesn't have nested if structures, and that means anything more than two or three if statements are going to take forever.

This is why I think you should just switch to KLWP. It's faster and more intuitive, and overall better in terms of versatility. It can look a bit daunting to learn, but honestly it didn't take me more than an hour or two of looking things up to understand it.

If you do use KLWP, do this:

Set up a global variable called rng, its formula will be "$mu(rnd,0[Or whatever you want the lowest threshold to be], 3[Same except higher threshold])$"

So "$mu(rnd,0,2) gives the numbers 0,1, and 2.

Now make the text and for its formula do:

"$if(df(ss) != -1, if(gv(rng)=1,apples,if(gv(rng)=2, bananas,if(gv(rng)=0,cookies))))$"

"$if(df(ss) != -1" checks every second if the current second is not equal to -1. This is always true, but the whole point of this part is to make sure that the clock updates every second. You can change it to every minute or every 5 hours or whatever other time you want.

"if(gv(rng)=1,apples"
If the random number generator gave us a 1, the text says apples.

"if(gv(rng)=2,bananas"
If the random number generator gave us a 2, the text says bananas.

"if(gv(rng)=0,cookies"
If the random number generator gave us a 0, the text says cookies.

I'm familiar with downloading icon sets and changing individual icons using Unicon, but that's about the length of my knowledge.

Save the icon as 24×24 ico and make sure the background is transparent, not white or black. Then add in an image to klwp and select the icon for that image. If you want it to open a web browser just set the touch to open app and select your browser. If it's still confusing it can help some more.

You can't do it the way you're thinking about it. You don't blur the inside of shape, you make two shapes. One shape is purely the blur part of the rectangle. Another shape is purely the outline, set by making the style equal to stroke(rather than fill). The blur goes on the bottom, the stroke goes on the top. This gives the illusion of a shape whose inside is blurred. If you want to treat the two as one, put both of them in a komponent or overlap group.

So I downloaded KWLP finally and damn, it blows Zooper out of the water. I got the personal message going finally where it takes from a bank of 13 phrases(I'll extend it to 100 if I have a ton of free time) and the if statement is based on the lock status.

I'm gonna also crop the background on my computer so that it retains the sharpness because I've only just done it on my phone.

Much love for the guy who showed me how.

I dont know of any tutorials, but I promise if you just start fucking around in klwp, you'll figure it out. As far as importing fonts, just put the .ttf file in /internalstorage/Kustom/fonts/

The sentiment is the same. Felt out of place so I took inspiration from typical simulator games to make this clock right now. The yellow part changes to dark blue once the sun sets and vice versa.

Also added 30 new phrases to the phrase bank and added the triangle pointing to her and changed the wording of some phrases to sell the illusion that she's the one saying it.

I'll make a WebM soon for the animations because i made it so that it's typical video game dialogue animations whenever I change screens.

But yeah. Came a long way!

I'm just starting out but the way I'd do it is have a rectangle at the top where the animation is a vertical scroll(play around with the angle of scroll) that reacts when you do a vertical background scroll. Thanks! It's still a WIP, so I'll probably change some things, including the wallpaper. The icons I used are Morena on the app drawer, and M'Flat 2014 on the homescreen.
Your homescreen looks pretty good, I'd just put all the stuff a little but more up than they are because they aren't centered very well, and maybe change the fonts, but that's it, looks good as it is.

You can do that in klwp, just make an element trigger a global, which in turn is read by an animation to scroll the sidebar that you have created into view.
