I'm making my first ever wallpapers out of a set of portrait images I managed to nab high res copies of. I figured I'd share them here as I go.

gross
I only just realized I hadn't been resizing these after I edited them. My bad. They'll be 1920x1200 from here on.
Bro the background color is ruined, you need png

You're useless shit, 'Pro

wow there's no need to be rude

Like I said I'm a rookie, care to elaborate? Do you mean just saving them as .png files would make the backgrounds look better?
Any tips would be appreciated.

Not the same guy, but I think so

Here's one I tried where instead of just stretching the sides with content aware and then blurring them like I had been doing, I also added a semi-transparent layer with a smoke effect to the background. Kind of makes the background look a little smoother / less gradienty. Still not great but I think it's better.

Now with multiple smoke layers blurred and then a mask layer to clear it off the model, kind of looks better? I don't know what I'm doing.

I'm an idiot. I just realized that I should have been cropping out the model and then pasting her onto a flat background instead of fucking with the existing background in the full images like I have been doing. I have no idea why I didn't think of that before now.
This thread has been a pointless exercise in watching a rookie make rookie mistakes.
I like these, well done!
Here's a couple of Harleys with the updated method.
i really apreciate the image resolution
Experimenting with filters over the gradients.
More with the cleaner backgrounds.
