You can change the color of the hexes. Find the Rainmeter folder in your documents, go to that thing, there should be a folder called @Resources or something like that. Just be semi-decent at editing shit and you're good

I'm of the personal preference to not put so much useless bullshit on the screen. You have two weather monitors when you should only really pick one. I also believe that all the useless ones like cpu monitors, hdd/ssd monitors, network monitors, RAM monitors, and that stupid trash skin should go. They're nothing but useless clutter that takes up extra system resources for exactly no reason.

I made some very simple rainmeter skins for my own personal use, the first being the windows-style text clock in the bottom right because windows 10 doesn't come with an option to have the clock on both screens. The second is the music bar in the middle of the start bar, it only has a pause/play button and clicking the bar opens the music player but it works pretty well for my needs.

This is the best place I found to ask this question so fuck it.
Fresh Windows 10 setup, never used rainmeter or any desktop mod on my previous rigs (just kept desktop virtually blank [get it? virtually?]). I'm really not looking for anything other than an icon drawer (either a dock or actual mobile-type folder for program shortcuts). Would rainmeter be the best use of resources considering I'd only need the one function?
On another slightly related note, is there any way to replace the taskbar's function of listing active windows?

Found this old screen cap. The buttons on her headphones actually work and they 'thump' as music plays. Being on a laptop, I eventually scrapped the idea.

The font for Adobe Creative programs tiles is Myriad Pro Bold, use less saturated colors in your icons, decrease the transparency of them a bit, and make the focal point of the icon take up more of it, in addition to thicker borders.

These are my startmenu tiles, styled after Adobe logos, consider adding some consistency to the appearance of your icons.

I'm using Circuitous for the circular meters, Lines 3 for the storage meters, Honeycomb for the icons (I edited the appearance myself), the monstercat visualizer, and then PlayMusic (Which I edited to have a white border) for the song info, mostly because its the only widget i could find that's compatible with google play music. The various sci fi lookin lines were just drawn on using paint.net

Hey I'm brand new to all of this rainmeter shit, and I've got a basic 4chan users understanding of computers, not a lot where I can create my own custom icons and code a ton of shit, but I'm not a complete normie tier who couldn't even install a mod on a steam game.

I've looked at the rain meter site, and I'm a bit lost in all the options, possibility, and where I can find trust worthy things that aren't shit.

Mine's pretty basic, made the plethora of walls randomize and shift every minute, just some of the stock stuff that came with rainmeter. Two clocks because I do gaming, and like knowing when to go to bed. Recycle bin because I'm too lazy to futz about with it.

I got tired of trying to find 4k versions of awesome papes and just framed them on my desktop with rainmeter. They cycle randomly every 10 minutes.

The boxes on the right are not another screen, just shows a couple of the overlays that appear when different stats are hovered over, in this case the date and the cpu. There's one for each stat displayed.
