Hey nice, I hadn't seen the labeled one before.
>>6637368
>>6636398
the actual sizes seem to be quite accurate
the distances between them though are completely wrong, it would be impossible to fit all planets to scale on a monitor and still be able to see them.
here's a fun fact, if the sun was the size of a stability ball / yoga ball, the earth would be 70 meters away and about the size of a pea
>>6637700
>the distances between them though are completely wrong
Naturally. It'd be pointless having a wallpaper to scale on distance.

You'll never see anything worthwhile. You'll die knowing you've done and seen nothing of significance.

This has really nice depth to it.

Always liked that pic cause I can see my house almost

Some of the stars? Sure. Stellar lifespans are long.
The untold hundreds of civilizations and species that rose and fell in the millions of years it took for the light from those stars to reach earth? They're long gone.

Well this made me feel like more of a piece of shit than I already did.
cool

This one is a warm, small feeling
Big Nazi things make me feel small, but still a part of something far larger, which is what they were going for

my mind keeps thinking this looks like a church on a hill outside of Earth's orbit looking down. Like the background is the cloudy atmosphere and the land below it
>>6636436
I'm not feeling this depth kind of thing. it makes it look small. in reality the close edge of the galaxy would be thousands of light years away with the far end being 100,000 more. the difference of how light travels from such far objects means that there would be practically zero difference of focus from the close to far side.

I don't care what people say, cities are ugly.
>>6648426
Depends on the city.
American cities are laid out by grid and are generally ugly, but cities with history can be quite beautiful.
