I just recently hit 1,000 wallpapers.
To celebrate I'm going to be dumping some of my favorites.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this board! Enjoy.

Here, have a non watermarked one.
>>6630930
thanks!
>>6630935
I have a couple more not watermarked but I can't find a lot of his stuff without it.
>>6630962
>>6630964
>>6630964
nice I don't have this one yet
>>6630970
I'm still looking for the one with the guys in the carpark at night, I can't find it without the watermark which is sad. I'll probably end up buying a large print though, he's a great painter.
>>6630974
agreed he's one of the few ingenious contemporary graphic artists amongst a sea of them, really like his painterly style
>>6630977
I apologise if I repost anything by the way
>>6630979
>>6630980
>>6630979
nah you're good, a lot of these I don't have the unwatermarked versions and some of these >>6630980 I don't even have
>>6630981
>>6630981
damn love this one
>>6630983
>>6630982
He actually has a ton of ones with dinosaurs in them but most people prefer the futuristic landscape and there are too many to post.
>>6630984
Yeah its one of my favourites too, probably second only to the Tales from the loop picture which I can't get without his name.
>>6630987
>>6630987
I've got this one >>6630789, do you have any others with dinosaurs?
>>6630990
>>6630995
>>6630993
Yeah I have a bunch I can post them if you want, but there are a lot.
>>6630999
>>6630999
if you have some favorites that would be sweet
>>6631001
>>6631017
awesome
>>6631023
I don't have them unfortunately but I've seen a few that are a blend with dinosaurs and his sci-fi landscape.
>>6631026
kinda funny that his specialties are prehistoric and futuristic
>>6631028
nice love this one
>>6631031
Indeed. Incidentally I just found the one I was looking for. Might be a bit dark for a wallpaper but I love this picture for some reason. It might have been the first Stålenhag picture I saw.
>>6631039
mmm I love these ones that seem so grounded, seems like a future that could actually happen
>>6631042
I'm out of dino ones unfortunately, they're even harder to find without a watermark.
>>6631039
or almost like an alternate present
>>6631046
thanks for posting them, I'll have to check out his website or something some time and see what he's up to
>>6631048
I feel like its more a near future than an alternate present day. The tech is just a little bit futuristic, even in the more subdued pictures. I'd actually love to experience that kind of world. It feels almost apocalyptic in its isolation.
>>6631052
yeah it looks super comfy
>>6631051
np, I intend to buy his art books some time, I actually really do love his works. His and this guy called Diego Fazio, who unfortunately does not have wallpaper sized digital images.
This is a pencil drawing, which I am constantly amazed by.
>>6631057
wow that's unbelievable, I don't even know how you would go about something like that
>>6631058
By being a god, and like this:
>>6631058
I also actually have a large framed print in my house of his picture, Cigno Nero, which I can't post because of the resolution limit.
>>6631061
holy hell that's impressive, I wouldn't have guessed the dimensions were that big from the first image, and I thought he might be using a photograph as a reference. I guess he smudges the pencil to get the shading right. Some people are just too damn talented.
>>6631064
Some of his pictures do have reference material I think, he actually draws some characters from movies. But others are completely original, which blows my mind.
>>6631063
>>6631070
unfortunately I think some talent like this is being lost to the ages, masters of light and shadow
stuff like this pic right here is so popular now, graphic and sketchy, and while I do like it I can't help but think the real masters have already come and gone
It's great to see people still doing work like this
>>6631072
Well I hope it doesn't disappear entirely. There will always be a few who stick to the old ways, but eventually they go under. Such is progress.
>>6631078
It's strange too because it's almost so good you can't wrap your mind around it and appreciate it on first glance, like had you not told me this was pencil >>6631057 I would have assumed it was a photograph.
Cheers everyone, here's to the next thousand!
>>6630683
Thanks! Great, great thread.
giving OP a gentle bump
>>6630683
Is that Rhaeadr in South Wales?
>>6630806
Love this one, thanks for posting it
Man... What. A. Thread!
Top notch OP.
>>6632649
i thought this too but could be scotland also.
>>6632649
yeah aha,I thought that too! It's where my City gets its water.
Hey OP, just wanted to say thanks for these! This is the best thread I've seen here in years. I honestly don't think I've ever saved so many from one thread. Bravo!!!
>won't even embarrass myself by posting some old retread...
