Just got KLWP and loving it

I picked up my phone a few months back, but I wasn't sure I'd keep it, so I set it up with something simple. Some things have changed, so I'm keeping the phone. Any tips or tricks for ricing her up?

yes, you long press the app drawer and change it the same way as any other icon.
You just have to press it for like 3 seconds longer than other icons.

What do people use for the equalizer effect? Is it actually real or random movement when music plays??

First steps with KLWP, I wanted to make a wallpaper with only one page, in retrospect putting the music player in a separate one would have been a better idea but I decided to stick with the plan.

In practice you can't actually see where the image ends and the arms of the girl seem to fade with the background, a little above the line of text.

The bit of green text changes color and text depending on the weather following a gradient from light blue (very cold) to orange (very hot).

Questions and rates welcome, I'll probably start working on something else right away because I want something more animation intensive, but I actually like the end result of this one.

Since people seem to ignore it, here's my rice a.pomf.cat/tsgzns.webm I made it using KLWP, Zooper Pro, and Nova.

This is my first attempt at KLWP, how is it? Any ratings/improvements to be done?

The Music bar at the bottom-left is configured to Play/Pause when touched, and displays the Music Playtime Progress.

The thin bar at the top represents the battery.

Also: is KWGT worth using? I didn't bother trying it because I heard that it consumes too much battery.

I'm pretty sure there are xposed modules that will let you change those icons if you are rooted. Maybe gravitybox, but I'm not sure.

One thing that really helps is looking at a lwp of medium complexity, and trying to replicate it, because you have to crawl around in the settings and you need to look at tutorials to figure it all out.

There are hundreds of clocks on the market, and I can almost guarantee not one of them will fit your wants. I can only recommend you pick up Kustom Widget, you can probably make a nice clock with the pokemon font if you can find a ttf.

I use gimp, but most people would recommend photoshop.

As for actually getting good and making something that's not shit, just takes imagination and practice.

But also I don't adhere to copyright law for any of my project because they're mostly personal. It would be a lot harder make this pape if I had to do it as a job or something.

The mewtwo is a vector from DA, snagged some map vectors from google, twisted them around to make the globe. Clone tool to make the stars.

This is a WIP, but does anyone know how to make the 4chan icon bigger? I'm using two icon packs, Whicons as primary and Min for the icons that Whicons doesn't have, such as the 4chan app.

Last time I checked whicons do have a 4chan icon. You can't make individual icons bigger unless you import them to klwp. I'd recommend using a single icon pack, it can get a little weird when you mix them.

The clock and date part are not aligned nicely. The date isnt centered, the day goes in to the shape.

That's fucking gorgeous. How does one create such a sweet music widget? I've been playing around with Klwp/Kwgt and I think I'm getting the hang of it, but I couldn't think of the first step to making a drawer like that.

Slightly related, is there anyway to apply icons to your app drawer? My icon pack applies to around 1/3rd of my icons, but the others are terribly bright with a lot going on.

Atm the search bar looks out of place. If you're gonna keep it, change the edges of the clock rectangle to be round. Might be worth changing the font of the clock too. Icons are neat though.

The way your icons are arranged looks like they'd scroll, if you had the time I'd do that. After making the icons consistent, one theme, and aligning the hexagon with the emblem that is. Not sure what the point of the clock in the centre top is either.

Keep messing with icon arrangement/size. Right now it doesn't work but I see what you're going for. Maybe slightly bigger for starters? Rest is fine, minor tweaks to date arrangement aside. The colour-scheme works.

It's pretty easy. Just download a launcher (nova, apex are popular, but I use smart launcher) and play around with it.

Not at all. You can first try zooper widget. I started with that, mistakes were made but i quickly learnt how to do cool stuff with those. Now im learning klwp which is a level above zooper. Try to steal ideas from others here, learn from the best. Get templates, see how they placed their layout. It takes time but you will be getting what you exactly wanted for your homescreen rather than say "eh good enough."

If you're talking about KLWP, I wouldn't unless you plan to import themes. The free version has every single feature of the full except for the ability to import themes

I am not sure what zooper pro does, but klwp pro allows you to import other people's configs. If that is something you are interested in, go for it, otherwise, don't bother.

Instead of an icon pack. Why not just learn klwp? It's not difficult and it's pretty addictive to mess around with. You can make the icons any color you want.

If you are using nova launcher, you can just go to settings and select app drawer for long press home.


You can really only change the nav bar with xposed modules.
