I know I'm disgusting. Don't be too harsh.
>>6626992
fuck you, I lost
>>6628049
dad?
I don't turn on the second screen to the right anymore because my Rainmeter skins are so ugly.
I don't use as nearly as much cause it's resource hogging and I really like clean desktop. It's Conky-Vision and Monstercat Visualizer a little bit customized
>>6626992
Where do I actually download skins?
All I can see is pictures of other peoples setups, but no one links them.
>>6628233
Nice dubs son, I'm proud of you. Your mother would be proud of, had she not been raped in half at the torso.
I'm a little proud of it
>>6628244
I like the wallpaper, can I have the source?
I only use the CircuitousTwo skin but i'm happy with it
>>6628437
I used to have a bitch of a time finding them, unless you ask and the person who posted happens to reply or someone else happens to know exactly what skin it is. My best advice is to ask or browse deviant art or some other website that has skins.
Currently putting functionality first, and I haven't gotten around to properly cleaning up.
But here goes nothing I guess.
>>6628049
damn i really actually like that wallpaper and rainmeter also bonus points for eu4
Just install a linux distro already.
Youre all polishing turds
>>6629391
I'm sorry I like to play high end games, edit videos, music, and photos with relative ease. Linux just is not to the point in which I can use it easily. Plus, non of my programs thet I use are compatible. Source: Tried at least a dozen different linux distros, and they were either too difficult for me to use, or it was not compatible with what I liked.
>>6629493
bu-t-t-t-t-t-t turds tho. That's a real argument isn't it?
why are they called skins? because it covers over desktops the same way human skin covers the body? or what?
sorry I just see a lot of tech speech and would like to learn and absorb
>>6629566
I bet he can't even install Gentoo, that faggot.
>>6629170
Just in case you wanted it senpai
>>6629078
Does anyone else find that '!ToggleGroup "<name>"' doesn't work as it is supposed to? '!ShowGroup' and '!HideGroup' work just fine, so I don't understand why
Where do you guys find these skins?
>>6632527
You can make your own but I gather most custom skins come from deviantart
>>6632484
I'm an idiot, I was trying to toggle meters, so the it should be '!ToggleMeterGroup'
>>6627063
Needs to be more Risk of Rain-y, man. Good taste.
>>6628238
which text is that one on the middle of the circle?
I've never played with these things before, but now I kinda want some features.
I want my desktop icons to go fully transparent(invisible) after a set amount of time and then having them come fully visible with a press of a button or something similar.
Need my explorer folders to change color since they are so damn bright.
Is this possible with rainmeter or where do I have to go?
>>6628049
>simcity 4
my nigger
Minimalist, haven't changed it in forever.
got this laptop today
>>6628756
Wow, anywhere I can download this?
Install Gentoo
rate & comment
10/10 tho
Turned out nicer than my previous attempts.
My Rainmeter game is trash.
>>6636069
source on wall paper? Man if I can get that on 3840 x 1080
anyways, epic. heres needs a new wall paper for sure
>>6636080
I'll post it in the morning. I think it's 1920x1080 and it's a little messy looking up close, but you(or me, or someone) can surely edit it to work at 3840. I might be able to find other images to add that fill the space more unless you just want them centered or split to either end.
Let me know and I'll edit in the morning for you before posting.
>>6636085
I'm open to suggestions. Thanks anon.
>>6636093
Sorry for the delay. Here's something I whipped up. The image is actually 1680x1050 so it didn't work quite the way I wanted it to. If you want something done differently let me know and I'll mess with it some more. Original is coming next.

Hope you come back to tell me what music skin that is.
>>6628756
Might be the best looking desktop I've ever happened upon. Good on you.
>>6634486
I'm curious as to what those list items on the left open up
>>6634696
8/10
Nice and clean, I would center the weather widget in that side panel
I really don't go all in, I go for the same general aesthetic all while achieving a minimal look.
My wallpaper changes every five or so seconds and then the spectrum analyzer moves with any audio coming through
Rate?

launders would be proud
Still working on my skins and skin suite.
>>6639552
ya know, I almost forgot I also need to visit the post office
Here's mine
So I'm using Circle Launcher and liking it pretty well, but one issue I keep having is my Firefox launch path.
I've used the target path from the app in the folder and from the shortcut icon and every time all it does it open up the Firefox folder in my program files. How do I fix this? I'm a super novice when it comes to this stuff so pls no bully, I just wanna get all my icons firing like they're supposed to.
>>6634459
What weather skin/addon is that? I've been having a bitch of a time getting any of them to work lately since all the changes to the Yahoo/Weather data you plug in for your location.
Hey im new to this but how do i get the live time, volume and things on by desktop like you have up there
>>6629749
Thank you, my good man.
>>6639578

How'd you get the taskbar skin?
Spent like 2 hours looking through deviantart for rainmeter stuff.
Found and saved 2 things. Neither does what I want.
How do you guys live with this?
I found a nice spectrum visualizer but I want it to sit on the right side of the screen.
And this clock wants me to install the .sh file into the "home folder.2".
Maybe I should just abandon this since I started with it today.
my setup
Today's current setup.
Does anyone know how to add a meter to a group on left click?
>>6640192
Make sure you have 'Firefox.exe' (or whatever the executable is called) at the end of the path.
>>6640949
To get a good setup you will really have to learn how to edit skins to your liking. It's very simple as far as 'programming' goes, and there are plenty of resources out there.
>>6640980
Get rid of taskbar(maybe autohide)
Get rid of icons.
If not, just get rid of icon text.
Make sure they dont have the little 'shortcut' mini icon. And make them all blue, since 2 are already, or get a themed icon pack.(shoot for minimalism)
If you do those things I'll give it 9/10
>>6641640
thanks, appreciate it man.
I usually don't use this, and only use the date and system info, but sometimes a visualizer is cool.
>>6632379
i fucking need this please sauce everything rn
>>6641658
Not the poster, but, I can name the visualizer.
Its the Visbubble visualizer, I think you can find it fairly easily on deviantart.
>>6634878
source on image?
>>6641662
Do you mean wallpape?
First attempt
>>6629493
Ubuntu fag here.
I play high-end games. Steam runs quite well on Ubuntu. For example:
>alien isolation
>empire: total war
>atilla total war
>xcom
>xcom 2
>all the valve games...
>chivalry
>metro 2033
>metro last light
etc.

There's a daily Friendly Linux Tread on /g/.
I use Linux exclusively at home and at work where I write software for the web and for VR with Unreal 4.
I've also used Arch, Fedora, CentOS, Mint, and DSL-- Mint and Ubuntu are my recommendations for newbies.
Try it. Y ou might like it.
