For real though I'm on the aesthetics > function team and I do have a normal app drawer like everyone else (and I do use it when I need to open an app quickly) but when I'm just casually using my phone I don't think top-notch functionality is of the utmost importance

KLWP has never reduced image quality for me. I once made a homescreen with multiple 1920x1080 png files, and it took nearly 5 seconds just to load the home page. Since then I've compressed the image, but fuck that quality was dank. So no, it doesn't lose image quality

If you don't need it to be a certain shape you can just insert the image directly, and you don't have to worry about image compression that way

It isn't that much work. All you have to do is find them in your file browser, extract them, move them to your computer, open them in photoshop and change the color, and then put them back on your phone.

Some general tips are to hide the status bar, not use folders (or use different icons for them), and make sure all your icons match each other.

It's been centralized now though - in the past there used to be 3-4 threads at a time. Now we have a website and an IRC channel going so I feel like we've made some improvements there.

Of course I feel like /wg/ is a very 'newbie' board in that once in a while, people go off and create their own threads when there already is one that exists.

Don't know how to get rid of the page indicator or the bottom row of dock buttons but I've tried.

If you are using nova launcher go to nova settings > desktop > page indicator.
Set that to none and it'll be gone.

By dock buttons do you mean the row of icons or the navigation bar? (back, home, and multitask buttons)

They are both free with premium versions, but you should be fine with the free versions.

Since you said you were rooted I'm assuming you can get xposed and gravitybox.
In the navbar section of gravitybox there's an option called Auto-fade keys.
You should turn that on and your homescreen will look even better.

Once you do that I think you should try putting some icons along the bottom to make a dock or something.

With gravity box you also need to reboot after each change you make.

I would delete either the mid row or the bottom one, most probably the middle one. Remember that you can have more than one page so theres no need to jam up everything on a single page.

Home screen looks quite nice, but I think you can improve the clock widget a little bit. I'm not sure exactly how I would change it, but it just looks really simple.
Look at some other clock widget in the thread and try to replicate something you like.

Also, you can theme your app drawer with Nova launcher to also match the rest of your rice.
