I'm curious about this too. I downloaded XnView, which is a neat program, and I have only just started tinkering with it. It can find duplicates very well. It even matches up cropped pictures to the full versions. It can rename batches of files. It has helped me out a lot at the ground level.
I'd like to have things set up to easily search my files with tags that I create. Especially for the women. I would participate in more themed threads (Girls in position X, wearing Y) if I didn't have to visually scan the thumbnails each time.
