Guys, I'm at a loss here. A day or two ago my rainmeter skins just stopped showing weather info overnight. All of them.

To be fair the only active ones I had pulled from Yahoo Weather, so I'm thinking maybe they changed something on their end that prevents the skins I use from pulling info. Not even the basic Enigma skin can pull weather info. Updated to the latest stable Rainmeter version as well, just to check.

Any ideas/similar experiences?

Firefox/Nightly is just the Arc Theme edited a bit to make the background transparent.

I have the taskbar pinned to the left with StartIsBack++ hiding the start button (which has been replaced with an always-on-top Rainmeter skin that shows the start screen when clicked). Rainmeter also gives me the white edge on the taskbar and the bar at the bottom with the clock at the end. I have Rainmeter set to run immediately at startup.
Taskbar is set to never combine, nothing is pinned to it as I have links on the hidden start menu.

I use Divvy for my tiling manager (http://mizage.com/windivvy/), and have borders between windows set to about 10px, with an offset of 32px from the bottom of the screen for the bar at the bottom.

All of my system tray icons are on another monitor, with the clock hidden. Wallpaper is pic.

How does one get custom icons for Windows? Is there a way to download icons as individual images? All I can find are shitty prepacked icons. I've yet to see an icon pack I actually like.

Why limit your computer? Just use a DE. If you're using a desktop, it means you have a certain use for it in like video editing and you would not want to waste time on settings in config files when changes in DEs are as easy as it is in windows. The colours and fonts are all over the place, the rainmeter is far too crowded and out of place. Not to mention that your up and download, which is useless in itself, is printed twice and that your taskbar icons don't even match those in your notification panel.

The theme is Penumbra (one of the first that comes up for W10 visual styles in DeviantArt)

I liked it so much that I played around with the colors until it worked with my theme. That's it, really.

To cover all bases, the song information skin is a Last.fm rainmeter skin I made and the video player is the YouTube floating app from the Chrome web store. It's an app, so you can just open it independently of Chrome, but for some reason it's the only place you can get it.

Lots of small things. Fix/get rid of the tab icons, try a different font in ff, and fix the font rendering on your bar and in ff. Everything else looks alright.

look up running linux in a virtual machine, install an easy distro like ubuntu, start learning the command line, then try out some other DEs/WMs, i3wm(tiling) and openbox (floating) is a good place to start.

if you've never used the command line and don't know where to start, codeacademy has a free command line course i think, just for the basics.
