If you want to improve you could make
the music player text larger as it's very hard to read, and you have a lot of unused vertical space on that side of the screen
If you wanna mix things up I'd move the time up to the top and put of extra information in its place (weather or something)

repost from the last thread. was feeling motivated by the /wg/ inspo album and blatantly ripped off one of the designs. quite pleased with it right now but i'd like some additional functionality, custom app drawer and some neat gestures, but i'm not really sure where to start. animations on klwp confuse the shit out of me and i don't know how to do much else than wallpaper scroll. any help would be very welcome

I'm actually not quite done on the animations. If you watch the webm carefully you'll see the music control drawer scales out to early. For now the music control and events drawers scale out AND slide so that they don't overlap one another. So far I don't have a workaround for this

Pic related is a work in progress, but I'm looking for some feedback on what to do. I originally wanted the middle to be apps and then the right side to be something else, but I realized that I really don't need 3 sections. Do you guys think this would work if I moved the white thing up to the center, and then made the left side music, the center a clock, and the right side my apps?

Also let me know if you think my new work in progress is better than my old one.

I'm running TruPureX on my moto x, which is basically just stock.
Other than that I'm using Nova Launcher and KLWP.
The date and battery percentages at the top are not part of my status bar, they're just text lines in klwp.

By work on the app drawer do you just mean fix the icons that aren't themed yet or is there something else?

Yours is looking really nice also.
I think if you got rid of the unread notifications it would look better, but it doesn't look that bad with them anyway.

If you're rooted I strongly recommend using the xposed module called lockscreen widgets and make your own through their with KWGT. If not, you can try AC display. The only problem I have with AC Display is not having a password or pattern lock

I'm not talking especially of this one in particular but every time I post something I merely get one or too rates, so it got me pissed.

Anyway your pape is nice, and you did a good job with putting such animations, it doesn't seem easy.
But the menu design isn't great, the colors are ok, and I borders seems thick. Also there are too many animation to display content, that's a personal thought.
I would suggest you to make things thinner, more precise and to use a color pattern or something

So I heard that THIS is the right place to pimp my homescreens... (got in a wrong thread first, so I deleted my post there)

My old phone (a Samsung Grand Quattro) had this built-in basic note widget that really served me really well to remind things - school activities, shopping lists et cetera. The fact that the notes were available in different colours helped a lot too for categorizing.

Sadly, I lost that phone and got a new one - same brand A5 - which unfortunately doesn't have this kinda widget. The closest I could find that was built-in is the Microsoft OneNote widget.

The infographs provided doesn't seem to provide anything regards to note-taking (not sure I overlooked?)...so I need to ask: what's your most reliable + recommended note widget?

If I somehow had to use OneNote because no other alternatives are available, convince me why I should use that on my phone.

What I'm actually trying to do is create a shape, and have the Assistive Light widget turn on immediately when I tap on it.

Popup Widget 2 just makes the Assistive Light widget popup on my homescreen when I tap it. I then have to tap on the widget to turn it on.

hey folks, any tips for klwp, getting the date working properly in text form?

i am currently using $df(dd)$$tc(ord,df(dd))$ which attaches the ordinal suffix to the end of the date. using the filter "numbers to words" along with it which has been working fine until today, but now my date is displaying at "monday the twenty onest".

is there any other code i could use to simply display the number of the date in text form without resorting to the filter?

I think this is a cool idea which is why I hope you fix it. The text needs to be centered in each box. I would recommend you separate each box by putting a small line above and below the album cover and weather icon. Increase your grid size to maximum to tighten the gap in your icons making sure that the padding is equal on all sides of each icon. That would be a good start, blur effect is necessary but you need to get the boxes a little smaller first so it isn't over done. Another thing you could do is create a popped up tab for the time, rather than a perfect rectangle.

There's a lot, to be honest. You have the simple white icons inside your box on the right but some icons have this colored shape behind them. Consistency is important. The pikachu shape is very out of place and unwelcome. Get rid of the page indicator as well. I like your clock and stuff though, but the gray/white for the battery indicator is awkward. Maybe just have the percentage. The icon smack in the middle is weird too, on the center page. Put it towards the bottom or take it out. For the left screen, do you need the now playing in two different locations, or are you just trying to fill the screen? Recommended you get rid of that. You'll have a solid 8/10 after addressing these issues.

again a consistency thing for me, the font you're using for location and battery percentage looks different(or at least wider) than the font you're using everywhere else. i think you should also either lowercase everything(like your "off" days of the week) or capitalize everything to make it flow a little better.

obviously pretty simple so there's not a ton of feedback i can offer. i do like your wp quite a lot, it's a good color palette and it's visually interesting, so instead of using straight black and white for your klwp elements, try emulating colors that are already in your wallpaper, or at least lower the opacity on the black shape.

You can't tell but If you tap the clock while the music player is shown it opens the music app. And if you click it while the music player isn't shown (like the when the apps are), the flashlight turns on.

They're part of a cyanogenmod theme I made for myself, which lacks many popular apps I don't have on my phone (all google apps), but if you want them anyway I can upload the icons somewhere.

I also have a script that colors them randomly using values from an array (see pic related).

The default interface (for lack of a better term) seems to be a bit blocky. Not up to my liking, but I read it can be customized easily.

The price on the other hand...though I do have the disposable income to pay for it (price in MYR is very much less than a plate of a traditional breakfast meal), I dare say that I'm not really experienced when it comes to buying / paying stuff online. Even if I do buy my own stuff (e.g clothes), I am more of a "try first pay later" person. So, I'm not keen to purchase apps, freeware all the way...for now.

Thanks for advice (>>6518148), i'm feeling like giving advice.
to me, their are several points which aren't great :
* first, it's not balanced. You've got a circlish animation on bottom and a square image on top, fix that
* second, black and white can work, but not there, it doesn't help the rice.
* third, this font is ugly as fuck and clock should be removed I think.

my advise is, you should take it back to zero, focus on putting an aesthetic in it's simplest form possible, or just an idea and add elements to what you get that fit and complete the idea/concept/aesthetic you have in mind.

There is something, but it's not great desu.
To me, you use a thick font and slim borders (around the image). Also, the circle coming ontop of the image isn't very appaling.
And you should remove bottom bar

I picked up Widgetlocker yesterday and I'm digging it, but is there anyway to ensure that it's my active lockscreen at all times? Every now and again it'll jump back to my original Android lockscreen or just flash the old one for a second before Widgetlocker takes over.

On an unrelated note, I bought an Htc One M8 refurbished off Amazon and I'm loving it, but there's a slight problem. The power cord works fine, but if you tilt it up to a degree, the phone stops charging. From what I know, this is something that'll only get worse. Am I right in saying that? I really don't want to have to send it back in for a new one, but I think it'll be best in the long run.
