Probably because he didn't have it in the books. Then again, I've only read up to Baptism of Fire (ordered The Swallow's Tower a few days ago). But yeah, not everything in the game is 100% cohesive with the books.

Like for example, in the beginning of W3, after Geralt wakes from his nightmare, he mentions that Yennifer had never been to Kaer Morhen. But in Blood of Elves it's mentioned that Yen's been there more than once.

Also, Witchers don't carry both swords on them literally all the time. Though I get that they did that for gameplay reasons. But even then It seemes kinda lame, since Geralt states when he talks to Nivellen that silver isn't necessary to kill most monsters.

So yeah..

My biggest issue regarding the use of screenshots as wallpapes is they are way under the quality standards for wallpapers. I admit TW3 was a damn gorgeous game but it was "alive" with a given lighting , physics and sounds/music. Screenshots piss me off because it feels like the fake family pictures you take on holidays .
I can't put the Yennefer's 3d model taking half of the frame while her hairs goes into her shoulder on my desktop.

I shouldn't have talk that way to the person who wanted to post screenshots , I apologize.

I just can't get how it is appreciable. Maybe taking a screen is exactly like photography , everyone can take photos but I only want to put art on my desk and I got increasingly frustrated by people posting everyday-like screens with unacceptable-for-a-pape artifacts.

But it does no harm to post them , if it can please yourselves go for it. To sweeten my shit here's a painting of the rat tower for the person I may have offended. Hope he/her like it considering the screenshot he/she posted about this place.

Yeah as someone who never read the books before playing the games, in W3 when Yenneffer is revealed and you realize that Triss always thought her best friends bf was hawt and took advantage of his amnesia to sleep with him and steal him from Yen. That really put me off to her, ended up saying no to both of them though because literally all sorceresses are lying, sneaky, bitches. There were so many times when I thought about picking Yen only to have her betray or lie to me in some way, i.e. the werewolf mission in the sacred grove, she just couldn't tell the truth so I dumped her. This series gets way too real sometimes.

IIRC He said that only some monsters require a silver sword, werewolves, vampires, wraiths and others, but most lesser monsters like nekkers or drowners can be killed fine with just steel.
In the games every monster needs to be killed with silver but its probably just to make it more simple, so you don't have to memorize what monsters to use which sword with, just makes things more uniform and simple.
