St. Joseph River in the Buchanan Township of Michigan. Pic was taken in August at around nine in the morning.
Oak savanna in Brookfield, Illinois, morning after a huge storm.
Riverside, Illinois. The DesPlaines river with the village of Riverside on the right, and the local woods on the left.
Brookfield, Illinois, along Salt Creek
Strange clouds at dusk over the rural village of Bridgeman, Michigan, within half of a mile from the coast of Lake Michigan.
My paternal grandparents' back patio along the St. Joseph River in Buchanan, Michigan.

Same time and place as this one, but looking the other way down the river.
All of these pictures were taken in August on my visit back home to Chicagoland. I didn't have a good enough phone camera until then, so the majority my good quality phone pics are from that 3 week trip.
I'm just gonna keep fuckin dumpin these cause I got nothin better to do.
This is along some train tracks in Bridgeman, MI
A very old farm pond that became part of a nearby natural pond over a couple centuries, near the Three Oaks township of Michigan.
The same forest preserve. Not far from the pond is a few prairies, this being one of them.
A view from the herb layer of an oak savanna in Brookfield, IL
An old railroad bridge in Brookfield, IL
A few from the scrub layer of the same oak savanna. The red flower is a Cardinal Flower, the purple ones with the spines are Echinacea, or Cone Flower (Purple Cone Flower, specifically), and the frilly looking ones are Wild Beebalm, also known as Oswego.
Same railroad bridge as above, though a different view and a different day. Brookfield, IL
Oak savanna in Brookfield, IL
I hope you all think these are as wonderfully comfy as I do.
Crown Fountain at Millennium Park in Chicago. It's too hard to tell in the pic for some reason, but those big monoliths have giant, imperfect, human faces livecast onto them, that occasionally spit water or spill it from their roofs.
Lake Michigan, with the Chicago Planetarium in the distance, Chicago, IL
Cloudy day in Grant Park, Chicago, Illinois.
Across the street from here is where Obama gave his acceptance speech when elected in 2008. You can go onto the stage and everything. You'll get yelled at, but still pretty fuckin neat stage right there..
One of many white-tail deer in the vicinity presently, checkin me out. All the birds were quiet, as it was the morning after another huge storm in the Brookfield oak savanna. I think I'll post one more comfy pic and then go to bed.
Nature reclaiming this fence in the oak savanna of Brookfield. That's it. gnight.
