for_window [class="^.*"] border pixel 0 will give you this effect in your i3 config (~/.config/i3/config)

it sets the border and titlebar width to 0 pixels

this is explaned on the i3-gaps github page otherwise your i3-gaps will not be presented properly

it could also be due to your image viewer if this is already in your config
if it is i would recomend using feh (probs what the other anons use aswell), no setup required as this clean look is default

I updated my graphics driver about a week or two ago and it instantly broke my firefox haxrcorp. I've tried anti-aliasing tool, theme font & size changer, reinstalling a new font, and now reinstalling firefox but it's still fuzzy and discolored. The only thing that worked was turning off font aliasing for my entire computer but then it fucked every other font. Any fix suggestions?

Pick terminal colors that complement your wallpaper
Take clutter like IP and disk space off your bar, maybe switch to something nicer like polybar or lemon bar while you're at it and stick in some icon fonts
Install some curses programs like ncmpcpp and weechat

Starting from scratch, its not. Especially when creating a visual style. With Windows, users tend to "strip" away a lot of features. With Linux, you build upon the framework of your choosing.

There's only one direction to really go with Windows, and several with Linux. I certainly acknowledge Windows is less challenging for me manage simply because of experience, but that's based purely on the individual.
