If you're using KLWP, the element needs to be in a group (either stack or overlap) and then if you go to the FX tab for that element you should see a shadow option. When you set it to "Outer" you can choose the blur, direction, distance, and color of it

I am using a custom ROM but the theme is Coalfield for the Substratum theme manager which I believe you don't need root for anymore. Centering the clock does require root though afaik unless you use one of those replacement status bar overlays

Yeah pretty much just two things: a bit of padding on the top and bottom of the text would probably look better (either smaller text or taller panel) and the drop shadow is being cut off a bit so I would add like a padding of like 10 or so to the top of the panel.

newfriend here, first attempt on an unrooted phone. I tried to make it as inoffensive as possible but any criticism or comments are welcome. Screen 2 is the home screen,I have transitions between the two so it looks a lot cooler in motion but couldn't get the recorder working for a webm. Almost everything is linked to an app where specified and ps'd the icons together myself.

Had a few questions though as well:

The biggest one being is there any way to get scrolling or "wrap around" text. On the music screen songs with longer titles get cut off by my width cap(as demonstrated) and the animations only take them in one direction(off screen then returns) as opposed to continual stream if that makes any sense.

I'm pretty happy with everything as a whole but my only gripes are on the apps page the space near protags head(i fixed the small portion where his head is cut off already) feels kinda empty/lonely but I figured if i get more apps I'll toss them there, but any other suggestions are welcome.Also on the music screen as well I was considering maybe displaying album art only ontop of protag partially but not sure how to go about that (the music player is just a hack job of using shapes with functions+progress bar and not an actual player which is why I ask. There are options for displaying text-artist etc but not album art as far as I'm aware)

Try making the Icons Transparent Outlines like the 3 system buttons below. Also, get rid of that atrocious icon backdrop :(

That animation with the music album art is fucking beautiful. Otherwise, I think that it could use some tweaking. For one, using white fonts on a white/lightly colored filter just is not great for readability. Try to keep margins consistent (i.e. the margins around the date vs. the margins around the app category names). I really like the idea, though.

Thank you! I'd like to but I'd like to get around to trying to throwing the album art up on page 3 and seeing how that looks on top of figuring out how to get proper scrolling text on the music player first. Once that's taken care of I'll toss it up somewhere.

When I do get around to that, do I need to compile all the images,fonts and stuff I used or do you guys just need the klwp file itself? I'll probably throw in a PSD template for the app icons as well since I probably don't have all the ones people will need. Also as a forewarning the kwlp file is messy I only figured out you could categorize stuff into folders in kwlp about halfway through lol so apologies in advance. Additionally I'm on an s7 so I'm assuming if people are on a different model they may have to tweak around with the placement of items themselves yeah?

Not OP but if you're using KLWP, just add a rectangle shape that fills the entire screen below all of the other elements you want on top of it, set the color to completely transparent, and then in the FX tab add a vertical gradient of the color you want and that should do it.

Fade out the colored shape for the P3 background when mi(state) is not playing or paused. If you want the blurred background change the height of the blurring shape to 1280 (or whatever your device's height is), otherwise you can fade that out with the same method described above.

Yeah I looked it up just two seconds before reading your message. I tried a different style, although it's kind of a copy of what the guide did.
Also changed the iconset and added a clock. Kind of different from my usual color palette.
I also tried to make a text component for music name and music author name, but it goes all over the place with different name lengths. Guess I'll read another guide.

Alright so good news(?) there isn't a way to display the album art that doesn't look like butts or unfitting so I'm just gonna give the scrolling test a whirl today whenever I have free time so it should be up by tomorrow or the day after latest.

Make the icons all follow the same style. If you want to make that windows 95 look then use the same low res blocky style icons for everything not just the camera and phone. Replace the light blue background color with that "classic" windows teal for an even stronger effect.

That's probably because the resolution, They are literally 20x20px, maybe editing it on Photoshop I can get it to looks like at the same size. (I didn't notice that Phone, App Drawer and Music looks a bit smaller)

the events stack group was going down way off the screen and it was making the entire thing blurry because of it

Read the guide, pick one font (two tops, but definitely work on the pairing; those two fonts don't look good together, they're very mismatched. Typically sans-serif and serif fonts are pretty decent together, used correctly). Cute Yui but minimal effort otherwise.
