Yep it's part of the wallpaper I made with KLWP. I made it with Gimp because reproducing it purely with KLWP was quite long and I'm a bit lazy, but it's totally doable.

The wallpaper is a mixture of thing. Essentially the "background" is just the black color. "Waifu" is the background picture part, so you'd change that. If you want to change the color of the rice, "boxes", "borders", and "text" are global colors so if you change them, all of those elements colors will change.

KLWP is the background for the drawer/widgets, I made the Google search bar in klwp, the app drawer is the left page, when I Swipe left it pops up along with the background for it that I made. The app drawer settings are set so it's not in a grid and it's got like 13 rows or something.

Looks better in terms of function imo. Like I said, I personally think the white clock clashes with the black icons. Also, if you have an icon bar then its best to have all icons on it. The floating ones look a bit messy to me, so I would probably make them all smaller and squeeze the other two in. Another trick I like to use is hiding invisible buttons if you don't have enough room. Its a good start!

Most notificationbarstuff requires root, or a rom. The easiest way would be to just hide the bar in your launcher if you dont need it

As for the icons search through the playstore and see if theres some you like. remember that you can mix different packs if you need to. Remember to change the drawer icon aswell!

Also if you dont need it you might want to remove the page indicator

You don't even have to remove it if you don't want, make them smaller with Anemone and make them a blueish color to go better with the rest of your setup.

Also consider enabling nested folders to put all the folders into another so you can reduce the clutter.

In KLWP, you can use progress bars to show music and set images to show the current album playing. To turn it off, you can use if statements in your objects to check the music player's state and have your components change to reflect that.

Having trouble creating a string of text to display song name and artist. The problem is the text simply grows/shrinks based on the amount of characters in the title/artist.

How do I truncate it after a certain amount of characters while keeping it anchored to the same spot
And is there a way to make the text scroll through the truncated portion and back to start

I have hit a wall with my ricing attempts. I love KLWP, but it's so tedious to sit there messing with things on my phone for hours on end, just to end up unsatisfied. I tried a bunch of different premade themes, and even some from this thread but none of them were quite what I was looking for.

Has anyone tried to use an android emulator on their PC? Failing that, I might just buy a big tablet and export the file.

Probably not a good answer but anyways,

you could always design your homescreen like you want it in photoshop or something (or just sketch it out on paper, but that makes it harder to test out colours), and try to recreate it on the phone after you have a clear(er) image of what you want to make. instead of just diving right into KLWP and ending up wasting time

Also, if you have trouble with coming up with ideas you could do some brainstorming. Just dump out all your ideas, bad or good. and try to refine them after your idea-reservoir is empty

What OS/rpm do you guys mostly use on Android? I recently fucked my phone up so I thought I might as well take the opportunity to make the jump from the shitty stock Samsung OS.

Not the Anon you asked, but I can guess the effect here. It's not actually an effect. It's just two shapes of the same size (but with different colours) moved relative to each other. Create one shape, then create another behind it. Move the shape that is behind left and down until it looks pleasing. (Not my actual phone desktop btw. I changed it so it would look non-descript)
