Can someone put this on a black background? I've tried multiple tools on paint.net (i'm noob) and haven't been able to get it to look good.

Assuming you're the person with the irregular outline around Louise in previous thread.
Much smoother.
Only critiques are that the outline 'breaks' over her right buttock. That's inconsistent since it's there on her left.
The outline extends a bit around her right foot at heel & toe. Not really an outline there. Either keep the outline on the 'outside', run it all the way around the foot, or have the darkening fade gradually. The abrupt ends look funny.
Not really a flaw, but I think the book should cast a very short shadow as well. Judging from her leg shading, it ought to be visible and would serve to tie the image-elements together.

I use Corel PhotoPaint.
I'm certain Photoshop can do it too.
Wouldn't be surprised if GIMP had that capability.
Someone more familiar with those programs will have to confirm that though.

Not a question of resolution, but of aspect-ratio.
Both sizes have a ratio of 1.7777 and that doesn't match the original.
To retain the top, you have to sacrifice the bottom.
