Hey.
I believe pic related has some great wallpaper potential. I do not exactly have an exact request per se so I hope it's fine for me to post this here, I just thought you guys would like to toy around with that one. Looking at it it should be possible to pick from one of the three horizontal rows and re-arrange the picture for it to fit a standard or 16:9 or so ratio. Well actually you can pretty much re-order this the way you wish.

If it's not already in electronic form you scan it at twice the printed resolution.
Magazines are typically printed at 300 dpi so you scan at 600.
Crop to the part you want.
Cropping throws away unwanted parts of the image but doesn't change what's left.
Save it as a PNG. PNGs are lossless.
Depending on your scanner or software you may also want to use a filter which counteracts Moiré patterns.
Those are artifacts formed when your scanner interacts with the dot-patterns of the manga.

I'm not the one that said I was working on it before.
This is a lot of work and I need to sleep now. Tomorrow I will remove the last of the text and try to clean up the flippers. I haven't learned much about brushes or matching color gradients so it takes me a while.
Regardless tomorrow/later I will post what I've got and maybe someone can help redraw/touch up the flippers.

I _am_ curious about the circle left center.
It was in the original.

Didn't touch either of those, only areas covered by text and the annoying green shadow most of the text had. The white circle in the rocks is indeed the end of a PVC pipe, probably for rainwater drainage off the sidewalk or something.
It looks ok at a glance but it's a fairly high resolution image. If you will be looking at it at 100% zoom the flaws become more obvious.

If you are just painting one color over another, set the brush opacity/flow low, then adjust it as you want to apply the color more/less, or just make repeated strokes.

Could you at least be specific about what's wrong with it?
I didn't use the image you provided. It's a highly compressed .jpg and I found a larger resolution, higher quality copy so I used that. That's why it looks slightly different in addition to being a different resolution.

Good to note, I just got back from work and started working on it. The first thing I'm working on is a triple Monitor Wall since I have a triple set up, After that is a Dual Wallpaper, then Lastly a single 1920x1080 wall. I'll post triple as soon as it gets finished.
I'm thinking 2 different version as of right now while cropping the characters out.
Also the artist has no respect for sizing, Every rectangle a character resides in has different proportions, I am also taking and saving individually and resizing all of them to 322 x 950 for easier manipulation. I may Render, Depends on what I think of when I finish cutting.

I finally managed to do something with this image that I'm somewhat happy with.
Images like this with really soft edges, lots of detail, back lighting, and curly hair are good to use GIMP's color to alpha on. It takes a lot more time than other images, though.
Here is just the render file itself. Be warned though, by itself, and on any sort of dark background, it looks like complete shit because of all the semi-transparent pixels I left in to give more detail.

Just realize that this thread is really slow when it comes to people filling requests, especially the last week or so.
What you've posted already amounts to hours and hours of work, at least to do a decent job.
I honestly can't remember someone doing this, at least not recently. Sometimes two requests at once, sometimes multiple corrections to a request, but nothing like this.
If you have a huge list of ideas, please post one, wait for it to get done, and then post the next.
Alternatively, take some time to learn the free software GIMP and do things like this yourself. It's not that hard to learn.
I spent roughly 2 hours on this one but I consider myself slow and a beginner/amateur. Most of the work is removing the characters from the background and adjusting the shadow and highlight colors on the characters to make them fit in the background more.

I spent a horrible afternoon in a Japanese bookstore once.
I probably passed right by the manga I wanted but I couldn't find anything.
Couldn't read the signs which, I assume, said "Geography", "Science", "Gundam","Yuri", etc.
Couldn't even pull out books to check for subject matter since they were all sealed in plastic.
